Talacre Beach Resort has recently undergone a multi-million pound investment with state of the art facilities introduced for 2019.
Part of the Go Active Breaks Collection; Talacre Beach is a 5 star Tourist Board award winning retreat that blends the traditional seaside holiday with a contemporary twist, and a touch of nostalgia. Set beside miles of ancient golden sand dunes and beaches and alongside the Point of Ayr rspb nature reserve; it’s been the firm favourite with families for years and is perfectly positioned to explore a wealth of amazing castles, beaches, golf courses and the magnificent Snowdonia National Park.
Covid-19 Changes: Darwin Escapes have temporarily removed some non-essential high contact items from their accommodation (eg. Decorative cushions, hair dryers). In line with government restrictions facilities/activities maybe running at a reduced capacity, or closed on selected days during your stay.
Arrival Information: Darwin Escapes check-in’s are available from 17:00. If you are likely to arrive later than 18:00, please call our resort reception team on 01745 858 000 to let them know.
Departure Information: Check out time is at 9:00am on the day of your departure. Darwin Escapes kindly ask that you leave your accommodation as you found it.
Hot Tub Information: Please note due to water change and maintenance your hot tub may not be up to the correct temperature when you first arrive. By using the hot tub you are agreeing to Darwin Escapes’ terms and conditions, and agreeing that you have read their hot tub safety information, found here.
Travel Cot Hire: Please note you must bring your own mattress and bedding for the cot. Please also note travel cots do not fit in Talacre Beach’s static caravan master bed accommodation. If your accommodation will have an unused twin room during your stay, the resort may be able to remove the beds and create a space, please call our reception team on 01745 858 000 for more information. A £10 refundable deposit may be required on site.
Pets: Please make sure that you have included your pet in your booking. If your pet is not included, Darwin Escapes will either relocate you to a pet-friendly lodge, if there is one available, or holds the right to refuse access to the resort. You may be liable for any charges incurred.
Resort Facilities: Talacre Beach’s facilities are currently working at a reduced capacity and pre-booking for any activities or food at the restaurant is essential.
Additional Information: Please also note that holiday accommodation is situated on Talacre Beach’s ‘park two’, which is a short walk away from the main facilities. Please read Darwin Escapes’ park rules found here.
Group Bookings/Party Types: A security deposit may be requested on arrival. A refundable £100 (£200 for mixed groups under 25 yrs) will be required upon arrival. Please note, that the refund can take up to 10 days to be released back to your card.
Work Parties: No Work vehicles or Workwear will be permitted on site. Un-authorised Work Parties will not be allowed to stay.

We arrived at our caravan for a week stay. Arrived at 3pm. The first day we came they was fencing contractors outside our caravan putting a fence up. We arrived at 3pm and they left not long after. Tried to go and shower the kids at 7pm and looked at the shower and realised this had been broken and propped up to look fine. Had this not been cleaned?? Rang the 'emergency' contact number. No answer. Rang the security office as I didn't want them thinking we had broken it. Day 2 fencers arrived at 8:45. But then I was going to go to Tesco and realised I couldn't as we had been blocked in by a multitude of vans. 3:30 vans had been driving over the grass and become stuck. So then we had vans spinning there wheels trying to get out. Vans trying to pull the other vans out. Eventually a land rover came and drove down the side of our caravan with a rope to pull it out. This broke and smacked against the window. Eventually they got the van out. Come 4pm still nobody had been to fix the shower. I rang again and soon after it got replaced. Day 3 we went out to the beach for a few hours came back vans parked across the parking bays near our caravan. So we parked up and ferried 3 kids across the mud and now the grass had been turned into a mud bath with all the work men and vans driving up and down the grass outside our caravan. How frustrating with a caravan with no mop facilities. Day 4 we was woke up at 8:15 with the sound of drilling and kangos going right outside our bedroom window. Still with umpteen vans parked not in bays. All around our caravan making it difficult to get into our caravan. Day 5 you have to be out by 9am. Thank god!Monday and Tuesday they have nothing to do on the park activity wise for kids. Wednesday Thursday or Friday you can go see the bear at 6pm. But that is it. We managed to go swimming once and that was pretty poor too. What a relaxing holiday. NOT!!!!!
