Each Wednesday and Saturday, there is a busy street market, selling crafts, fresh veg, etc. Theatre goers will appreciate the modern Theatr Clwyd, one of Wales’ foremost theatres. The Butcher's Arms is the Nercwys village pub, about a mile away. Nercwys is an ideal location for those wanting to access country walks such as in Nercwys Forest, Loggerheads Country Park and the nearby Offa’s dyke. Mountain bike trails are at the One Planet Adventure in nearby Llandegla. The village is on the Eastern edge of the Clwydian Range, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its peak Moel Famau, beyond which lies the historic town of Rhuthun (Ruthin) in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd, It’s an ideal base to explore North Wales’ coastal towns, castles, and Eryri (Snowdonia), all of which are within an easy drive.
