Guests have consistently praised 'The Barn' for its stunning views, peaceful surroundings, and the warm welcome provided by the host, Sylvia, and her cat, Penny. The property is described as clean, cosy, and well-equipped, offering a relaxing retreat with thoughtful touches like welcome gifts. While the rural location is ideal for tranquillity and local exploration, the Wi-Fi can be spotty, and the spiral staircase may challenge those with mobility issues.
The majority of reviews highlight the cleanliness of the cottage, describing it as well-maintained and tidy. One mention of cobwebs suggests a minor area for improvement, but overall, the high standard of cleanliness is evident.
The location is frequently commended for its outstanding views and quietness, providing a perfect setting for relaxation and local walks. The proximity to amenities and the village pub is appreciated, although the rural setting means Wi-Fi connectivity can be inconsistent.
Guests find 'The Barn' to be comfortable, with special mentions of cosy furnishings, comfortable beds, and a homely atmosphere. The living room arrangement through an upstairs bedroom is noted as a slight inconvenience but does not detract significantly from the overall comfort.
The property is praised for being well-equipped and offering everything needed for a stay. However, the mention of a challenging spiral staircase and occasional Wi-Fi issues indicates that while facilities are generally excellent, there is room for minor improvements.
Reviewers frequently mention the thoughtful touches provided by the host, such as welcome packs with treats. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is important to note that such gifts, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Only drawback was the living room was accessed through the upstairs bedroom which made it awkward until everyone was up, but it didnât spoil our stay.

We explored lots of lovely places on our stay and enjoyed coming back to the Cottage every evening. The cottage had everything we needed and the treats were appreciated. We would love to return again.
