Guests consistently mention the warm welcome from the owners and the comfortable, well-equipped accommodation. The cottage is ideal for both short breaks and longer stays, with thoughtful touches such as homemade cake and wine on arrival, though these are not guaranteed. Some minor points raised include the garden not being enclosed for dogs and limited cooking facilities, but overall, guests thoroughly enjoyed their stays and would happily return.
Guests consistently describe the property as well-presented, lovely, and comfortable, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness. The high standard of presentation and repeated positive remarks support a strong score.
The location is frequently highlighted as excellent for visiting Chester, North Wales, and local attractions. Proximity to shops, main roads, and woodland walks is praised, with only minor mention of background noise from a nearby road.
Most guests found the cottage very comfortable, with positive comments about beds and general accommodation. One review noted the beds and chairs were not firm enough for their preference, but this was an exception.
The cottage is described as well-equipped, though a few guests noted limited cooking facilities and suggested additions like an air fryer. The kitchen and shower room were praised as faultless, and overall maintenance appears strong.
Many guests appreciated the welcoming touches such as homemade lemon drizzle cake and a bottle of wine, though it should be noted these are not guaranteed. The owners are repeatedly described as friendly and helpful.

Lovely location next to woodland. Squirrels and Woodpeckers in the orchard. Easy access for woodland walks. Close, but not too close, to major routes for exploring North Wales and the Wirral

We are both over 80 so particular about beds and chairs. We checked in advance and told beds were firm and new. No doubt good for majority but not firm. Neither was there a supportive arm chair in the house and the outside furniture was rickety. Kitchen and shower room faultless.
