From Porth Meudwy, 1.5 miles from Aberdaron, you can take a boat trip during the summer months to spend half a day on the unique island of Bardsey, spotting seals and porpoises along the way. The seaside town of Abersoch is just 10.5 miles, and Pwllheli is 16 miles.
