Ysgubor Fawr is a self-catering cottage situated on the coast, within a five-minute walk onto the beach and looking back upon the breath-taking majestic Snowdonia mountains. The cottage can accommodate families, couples or groups of friends of up to eight persons. Enter inside, where you will discover a lounge with sumptuous sofas, and an open-plan living area beyond, leaving you spoilt for choice of where to relax throughout the day. After a cosy night in, snuggle up in one of the bedrooms, two doubles are situated on the ground floor, each lovingly decorated and well-appointed for the family bathroom. Uncover more sleeping arrangements, by following the stairs up to the next floor, a delightful layout awaits, comprising of a king-size double room and twin room with a travel cot, plus exceptional views over the mountains.
Conveniently, a walk-in shower room lies close by, whilst a utility area completes the accommodation. This retreat features its own enclosed garden to enjoy, and relax, with garden furniture alternatively within a 5 minute walk through straight onto the beach. Conveniently located for Snowdonia and many of the attractions of the area, Ysgubor Fawr is only 25 minutes from Porthmadog and Pwllheli. Nearby is historic Caernarfon, a popular tourist spot with its magnificent 13th Century castle and well preserved town walls. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery.

Cottage was very warm and well equipped. Wifi not the best, alot of interference whilst watching a programme in the evenings. Few cobwebs lurking about and dog mess in garden, but guessing we were the first ones there for a while. So close to the beach, great for a evening stroll. Thank you.

We would just tweak a few little things to make it 10/10. A welcome pack or at least a pint of milk would have been appreciated. The bedrooms are very roomy but would definitely benefit having Dressing tables and a nest of tables or coffee table in the lounge, would have been nice. Lounge needs reconfiguration or bigger sofas as only really comfortable for 4 guests but the kitchen can be used as a social space. Beautiful scenery and wonderful wildlife on the doorstep. Along with a short, safe walk to a quiet beach. We would certainly rebook again.

5 adults 2 teens and 2 dogs plenty of room to be together and have your own space. Everything you need is here. Would definately recommend and will hopefully return next year. Close to beaches, shops and a good pub 10 minute drive... all dog friendly. Thank you so much for letting us stay.
