Sweetholme is a beautifully maintained cottage with modern facilities, offering a comfortable and homely experience. Guests appreciate the clean, well-equipped space and the thoughtful touches for both human and canine visitors. The garden and summer house are highlights, providing a serene outdoor retreat. While the busy road location is noted, it does not detract significantly from the overall charm and convenience for exploring the area.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition and nicely furnished interiors.
The location is praised for its convenience to local attractions and beaches, though the proximity to a busy road is mentioned as a drawback by some guests.
Most guests find the cottage comfortable and beautifully presented, with only one review mentioning discomfort due to large furniture in small rooms.
Facilities are modern and well-maintained, with high-quality appliances and bathrooms. The presence of log burners and a well-equipped kitchen are noted, although one guest had difficulty with the electric cooker.
While guests express appreciation for the cottage's amenities and garden, there are no specific mentions of gifts, so it is not possible to assess the level of thoughtfulness in terms of gifts provided.
Trefor 2.5 miles. Sweetholme is a traditional, Welsh cottage nestled in the quaint hamlet of Gyrn Goch on the scenic Llyn Peninsula. This inviting dwelling, which dates back to the 19th century, has been tastefully renovated to provide an exceptional holiday home for families and pets, retaining much of the style and character you would expect from a property of this period. Move into the lounge, where the exposed beams, feature fireplace and plush settees invite you to unwind after a long day. Follow the stairs and feature wall-piece to reach the bedrooms, housing a king-size with en-suite shower and a twin with pull-out trundle bed, each finished in neutral tones with rustic nooks and crannies. Outside and to the front there is a small garden with floral borders and a lawned area with seating at the side, offering splendid areas for outdoor dining and entertaining. The Welsh Language and Heritage Centre and restaurant are nearby in the community of Llithfaen. A superb, two-mile stretch of sandy beach, as well as a decent selection of shops, pubs, and restaurants, can be found in the charming coastal town of Nefyn, which is 7.5 miles away. Families and couples enjoy playing golf at the award-winning club there. Good sets of clear instructions. One fault - the Dyson vacuum cleaner was absolutely filthy (We have a Dyson). (Dog?) hair completely impacted around the cylinder so the vacuum really didn't suck. I spent 40 minutes sorting that out, now it sucks but the smell as it works is disgusting. Easy fix, clean it properly and empty it regularly. Other than that absolutely fabulous property. Thank you, we had a lovely time there.

Modern, full of comfort & everything you could possibly need. Well maintained, clean & just wonderful. On the main road which isnât a disappointment. Our small dog was very safe in the 100% dog proof garden. The garden was beautiful, well kept & overlooking an amazing view. Iâd recommend this property & would definitely go back.

It was really cosy and had everything we could possibly want. We would definitely come back there again.
