Close to the Snowdonia National Park and a 20-minute drive to Snowdon itself, these three spacious, attractive and comfortable barn conversions boast stunning views over beautiful countryside. The holiday cottages (refs. OZ3, OZ4 and OZ5) are located just yards away from the Wales Coast Path, which leads to a lovely pebble backed sandy beach whilst affording wonderful bird watching opportunities on the way. Foryd Bay, where the properties are located, is a designated rspb Lapwing reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales has also become the UK’s newest unesco World Heritage Site in 2021. Within easy driving distance there are a myriad exciting activities including mountain biking, surfing, sailing, excellent walking, riding and golf. The properties are also conveniently located for Zip World.
Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle, and a fine selection of shops, restaurants and pubs is just 4 miles away, and is also the start of the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of Snowdonia. Tai Coch Chatham is a perfect location for relaxing winter escapes and summer beach holidays. Shop and restaurant 2½ miles, pub serving food 1 mile (seasonal).

The cottage is beautiful and the welcome gifts were a lovely treat. The position is perfect for using as a base. We were able to sit out in the private garden and just totally unwind on our first night - lovely and peaceful. Though, we were too busy to make more use of it. The kitchen was large and extremely well equipped with everything you could need. The lounge was very homely and comfortable with an array of different lighting, including adjustable shutters so you can choose based on mood. Two ground floor bedrooms serviced by a brilliant wet room. Two first floor bedrooms serviced by a bathroom with a bath and a shower. We used the two larger beds which were extremely comfortable. Not being fully mobile, I found it very easy to navigate the space around the bedroom and the whole cottage. We loved our stay and the owner was really friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. I can't fault it to be fair. Well, if I was really picky, the floorboards were a bit creaky but they added to the charm of the cottage. Plus it means there's no creeping for midnight snacks 😂. The cottage has just the right mix of both vintage and modern design, with information leaflets and books available for reading. There is so much more I could add, but I'd be here all day. Lovely walks locally, too, and well behaved dogs are welcome. We may stay longer next time.

Nice and clean but a little dated. Feel it lacks a bit more light in the living room.Owner was helpful but a bit unsure about his pricing on the electric car charging, found this to be quite high. Quite location.
