We had a lovely stay in Morlais. The owner checked in a couple of times to make sure we were ok which we thought was wonderful. The cottage is like stepping back in time, cosy and very charming. A lot of reviews say how it needs a good revamp but we believe this was reflected in the price, which we thought was really good value for money.Criccieth is wonderful and the cottage is right in the thick of it. The back yard has stunning views of Criccieth Bay, Black Rock Sands and Harlech. Thank you for having us.

Upon arrival, we found that the kitchen cupboards were dirty with most of the utensils, plates and dishes contaminated with remnants of food and grease. One of the pans in the cupboards was thick with grease and had a dead fly stuck to it. Everything we would be using for our stay we had to wash. The shelves and utensil holder were dirty with there being mouse faeces in the lower cupboards. The advertised free view tv which is a separate tv and manhattan free view box was completely non functional at our stay.Broken furniture: The listing states that the property has garden furniture. The furniture set is broken and unsafe to sit on. Table collapsed when tried to move it. Drawers in rear bedroom also fell apart when opened. Dining table wobbly.Cobwebs and spiders throughout house, cobwebs even on hoover and ironing board under stairs in cupboard.Outside area very unkempt with weeds and dead plants, unused plant pots with weeds in. Bits of brick and broken stone bird table. Dog bones. Can clearly hear mice under floorboards, mouse faeces in cupboards and mouse trap next to fridge.Clothes line outside but the only clothes pegs are rusty and mainly broken (8 in total)Furniture and carpets stained.Flea problem as by the Thursday we were getting bitten. Tub of flea treatment under sink so it has obviously been an issue prior to our arrival.

First impression was that the garden was a mess. This was something that drew me to this accommodation. There were weeds every where, nothing like the photo on the website. The garden furniture was broken which made it hard to move about. The views were amazing but it was not a nice place to sit out in. The owner was aware of the state of it.We booked for 6 people and there was not enough seating in the lounge for 6 people.... The property was very tired.... the sheets were clean but there were some stains on them probably due to age, same with the sofa and carpets. I realise this is a dog friendly property but that doesnt mean it should look like this. With a little bit of work it could be lovely.
