Trecco is a beautifully converted church apartment in Criccieth, praised for its stunning views of the bay and castle, spacious and well-equipped interiors, and excellent access to local attractions and amenities. Guests consistently highlight the comfort of the beds, cleanliness, and the unique character of the property. While the location is ideal for exploring North Wales, some guests note that road noise can be an issue, particularly for light sleepers. Overall, Trecco offers a memorable and enjoyable stay, with many guests returning for repeat visits.
Cleanliness is frequently mentioned as a strong point, with multiple guests describing the apartment as spotlessly clean, very clean, and well-presented. Bedding and towels are noted as immaculate, and the property is consistently described as tidy and well-maintained.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to Criccieth's centre, beach, and local attractions, as well as its beautiful views. However, several guests mention significant road noise due to the property's position next to a busy road, which affects light sleepers.
Guests repeatedly mention the comfort of the beds and the overall cosiness of the apartment. The spacious layout and warmth are appreciated, though a few note issues such as draughty windows and occasional noise affecting sleep quality.
The apartment is described as well-equipped, with a full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, and thoughtful extras like cleaning supplies. Some minor suggestions for improvement include more cooking equipment, better soundproofing, and a more comfortable sofa, but overall facilities are highly rated.
There are no specific mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches such as hampers or treats in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

We found the apartment clean with comfortable beds. Location is excellant with easy access to the beach. However traffic noise is very loud at night and early hours due to a busy road outside. The apartment could do with a few upgrades. More cooking equipment and a better hob. Extra blankets for beds incase they are needed. Tv is poor with limited channels. This is all reflected in the price paid. But would be willing to pay more for extras. Sofa was tired and not comfortable. The shower was hard to set at a stable temperature.Hate being negative but these things could improve the stay. All being said it was clean and bedding and towels were immaculate.

I'd give it 9 out of 10. If we come back here we'll seek Trecco out again. Spotlessly clean, & everything works – none of that “O no the XYZ isn't working...” The photos are accurate with views over the rooftops to castle & sea. It's a short walk to all the town's facilities, including the seafront. You need to call the owner for entry info, which was immediate & simple. For the 2 of us, there was lots of storage & hanging space for our walking kit.Be aware – it if matters – that the access stairs are steep, & so are the stairs inside. The TV is connected via an aerial & reception was poor. We solved it with an HDMI cable to the laptop & watched through the internet, which is reliable & strong enough for what we wanted. The blinds in the bedrooms are delicate & don't cover the whole window, if early morning light bothers you. We were there between the heatwaves & it was warm – in the heatwave some fans would be necessary, as you can't open the bedroom windows due to the traffic. Sort those niggles & it would be 10/10.
