Guests say

Glan Y Don is a well-regarded cottage praised for its enviable location with stunning coastal views and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the property's spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. The welcoming touches, such as Welsh cakes, are fondly mentioned, and the property is considered ideal for family holidays.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean, with one review highlighting a 100% cleanliness level in a COVID world. However, a few mentioned that the property could benefit from a deeper clean, which slightly impacts the overall score.

The location is consistently praised for its fantastic views, proximity to the beach, shops, and eateries. It is described as idyllic and prime, contributing to a high score in this category.

Guests find the beds comfy and the property warm and comfortable overall. Some guests, however, noted that the lounge seating could be improved, and there were comments about the property feeling dark and sometimes damp.

The well-appointed kitchen and the presence of a BBQ are positives, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a blocked shower, wonky furniture, and outdated appliances. The lack of Wi-Fi is also noted by several guests.

Welcoming gestures like Welsh cakes and biscuits are mentioned positively, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as not all reviews mention such gifts and there's no guarantee of these, the score reflects this uncertainty.

About this property

Glan Y Don provides fantastic family accommodation in an enviable beachside position in the wonderful village of Abersoch. This delightful double-fronted cottage boasts a sitting room with exposed beams, lovely woodburner and superb sea views, and to the rear is a spacious dining room leading through to a modern fitted kitchen. Upstairs at this cottage in Abersoch, you will find three bedrooms, with two enjoying views over the beach and harbour, whilst outside are steps cut into the rocks that lead onto the beach. An excellent Abersoch cottage for families. Note: This cottage is next to Ref. 20127, together they sleep 10.

The harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula. The village, a popular sailing venue offers three beaches, as well as shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Thank you Everything thought of, even a knife sharpener - so many cottages have the bluntest of knives as no one ever sharpens or has the means to sharpen but a cottage that includes a knife sharpener (and a good one at that) indicates that even the smallest details are cared for.

It was very clean and comfortable. The cottage is in a great position, handy for beaches and town.

The location, parking and the rooms are a perfect size with lots of storage. The beds are comfy and the kitchen has everything you would need. The oven did break but a quick msg to the owner and the repair man came the next day and fixed it. The only downside is only 1 shower as the main bathroom just has a bath. But this wouldn't stop us rebooking again with 6 people staying.
