About this property

Idyllically nestled within the hamlet of Ceidio, just two miles from the bustling town of Nefyn, lies this delightful semi-detached bungalow, Awel Y Mor. Boasting lovely views over open countryside, this splendid getaway is a great choice for families looking to discover North Wales. After parking up in the driveway, step inside and pop your bags in the hallway as you take your first glance at the property, with the contemporary open-plan living space immediately grabbing your attention. Throw open the bi-fold doors and let the fresh country breeze roam through the property, while the bonus of underfloor heating is sure to be appreciated in the winter months.

The kitchen boasts an all-white overtone with glossy units and integrated appliances, encouraging you to dust off those cooking books and whip up a delicious feast, while the others can set the dining table with crockery and cutlery. As you wind down, get comfortable upon the leather sofas and pick out a good film on Netflix, before finding the bedrooms at the other side of the property, offering a double and twin setup. To aid your relaxation, step under the walk-in shower and savour a hot rinse, giving you time to think about your next adventure. The excellence of Awel Y Mor continues outside, where a raised slate patio with garden furniture is perfect for a refreshing drink or alfresco breakfast, with gracious views over the surrounding fields reminding you of the rural location.

Just a mile away lies a stone-built 19th century pub, Y Bryncyan, where you can tuck into traditional pub fare and sample a range of cask beer and wine, while a little further afield on the coastline lies the famous Ty Coch Inn, voted the third most popular beach bar in the world! Follow quiet footpaths between fields and woods and you may stumble across the Llyn Coast Path, forming part of the Pilgrims Way, it’s a real haven for any keen walkers and provides a scenic route around the lovely Llyn Peninsula. The Nefyn Golf Course, resting on the cliff immediately above Morfa Nefyn beach, is unquestionably Wales' best and most photographed course - and with spectacular views of the bay and Rival Mountains, as well as its dramatic setting, it's easy to see why!

Abersoch is great day out with with fantastic watersport opportunities and golden beaches, as is the tourist village of Portmeirion, comprising a cluster of washed buildings around a central piazza, with scenic surroundings and extensive woodlands. Awel Y Mor is a superb touring base for families and couples to enjoy, whatever time of year.

The charming seaside village of Nefyn, on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula, sits atop sweeping cliffs and boasts a lovely two-mile stretch of sandy beach. Visitors can expect to find an excellent selection of shops, pubs, and restaurants and will be situated close to the facilities of Pwllheli and Abersoch, which are also major tourist destinations. The region's coastline is lined with castles and coves, and fishing, sailing, and other water sports are accessible. It was so peaceful with local villages and towns a short drive away. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable with a fabulous open plan design. The owner was lovely and very helpful - we would definitely like to go back to this cottage and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.
