About this property

Abersoch 2.2 miles. Tucked away in the countryside of the Llyn Peninsula in Bwlchtocyn near Abersoch, Gwynedd is this stone-built, detached barn conversion of Crowrach Uchaf Barn. Resting within easy reach of the peninsula's southern beaches and enjoying views of the sea from its shared grounds, this fabulous abode is an idyllic getaway for a family of nine. Upon arrival, you will be happy to find ample off-road parking which also has space for boat parking, so you can bring along your own sailing equipment. Progress into this fantastic abode, where stone flooring can be found, along with original features of the barn speckled throughout the property. Settle down in the light and airy sitting room, courtesy of the vaulted ceiling, where a woodburning stove will warm you whilst you curl up on the sumptuous sofa and enjoy a Freeview show on the TV. After enjoying some well-deserved relaxation, make your way to the galley kitchen, where the foodie of the group can enjoy whipping up culinary treats with the electric double ovens; continue outside to find a utility offering laundry facilities, along with a freezer for more food storage space. When dinner has been rustled up, get together in the dining room, which enjoys a characterful mezzanine area that can be reached by a ladder; heightening the space's convivial feel. As day turns to night, head to bed in one of the three charming bedrooms, with two of these resting on the ground floor and consisting of a king-size room and a family room hosting a double and bunk bed; climb the stairs to find a twin room that offers an optional third single and makes for the perfect space for the kids to rest in. Completing the property's interior are two bathrooms on the ground floor, a shower room and a bathroom which boasts a separate bath and walk-in shower; you'll certainly be spoilt for choice when it comes to freshening up in the morning! The barn also enjoys access to extensive, shared gardens, where ball games can be enjoyed on the spacious lawn and alfresco meals can be savoured as you soak up those gorgeous sea views. Become acquainted with your surroundings and travel to Machroes Beach or Traeth Porth Ceiriad for some fun in the sun and sand, before stopping at the local farm shop to purchase local produce and wares. Be sure to spend some time in Abersoch, where ample amenities can be found, along with an esteemed golf club, two beautiful beaches offering sailing schools and surfboard rentals, as well as access to the Llyn Coastal Path. Continue along the coast, via the path or by car, to discover the friendly village of Llanbedrog, and tour it's fascinating art gallery, kick back and relax on the golden sands of the village's beach or hike across the adjacent headland. For even more fun on the coast, head to the surf-centric beach of Hell's Mouth, before visiting the delightful National Trust property of Plas yn Rhiw for an afternoon filled with history and gorgeous sights. The Llyn peninsula is packed with things to see and do, from it's picture-postcard settlements, including Pwllheli and Aberdaron, to its outdoor activities, such as hiking along Mynydd Mawr and horse riding across Cilan Uchaf. An excellent stay all year-round, choose Crowrach Uchaf Barn. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1088247, together sleeping up to 17 guests.
