Bwythyn-y-Saer is a charming and peaceful cottage in a beautiful rural setting, ideal for families and couples seeking a relaxing break near Abersoch. Guests praise its spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and lovely countryside views with sheep and cows. The location is convenient for exploring local beaches and attractions, and the enclosed garden is perfect for children. While some minor issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and WiFi were noted, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, with several describing it as 'super clean' and 'very clean'. However, a few reviews mentioned dust under beds, some unclean crockery, and occasional lapses in deep cleaning, particularly in the bathroom and kitchen. These were generally minor and did not detract significantly from the overall experience.
The location is frequently highlighted as a major strength, offering peace, privacy, and beautiful views, while being within walking distance or a short drive to Abersoch and local beaches. Some guests noted the walk into town is longer and hillier than expected, but overall the setting is highly appreciated.
Guests consistently mention comfortable beds, a cosy atmosphere, and a spacious layout. The cottage is described as homely and peaceful. Minor comments include a small sofa for taller guests and a preference for single beds over bunks, but these did not significantly impact comfort.
The cottage is well equipped, with a good kitchen, washing machine, and parking. Some guests noted very hot water, minor maintenance issues (e.g., taps, bedroom furniture), and a lack of WiFi or occasional problems with it. Suggestions included more outdoor furniture and a shaver point in the bathroom.
Several guests appreciated welcome packs or snack boxes, and the supply of essentials like bin bags and washing tabs. However, a few noted that a welcome pack was missing or not guaranteed. It should be noted that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed for every stay.
A superb single-storey semi-detached stone-built Abersoch cottage, on the edge of town. Well-equipped accommodation, lovely countryside views. Ideal for Llyn Peninsula. Note: This cottage is next to Ref 2915 and together they accommodate 9.
Situated on the Lleyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking is the attractive harbour town of Abersoch. Set between two glorious bays, this is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales hosting important sailing regattas throughout the summer months. The town also contains a number of pubs, restaurants and cafes whilst water sports enthusiasts are well-catered for in the region. Windsurfing, water-skiing and dinghy sailing are all readily available around Abersoch, whilst the more daring might be interested in the renowned surfing at Hell's Mouth. If you prefer to spend you time by the sea in a more sedate manner the region also boasts a number of ‘family friendly' sandy beaches including Warren beach, sheltered Porth Bach and Porth Ceriad, with its dramatic, towering cliffs.

It was super clean, warm and cosy with a well equipped kitchen. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and country views - with sheep! We found it well placed for visits to Abersoch and coastal walks and would definitely like to return. We visit the Llyn Peninsular often and this has been one of our favourite stays.
