It states that the garden is enclosed but if you have a small dog or a dog that can jump it is anything but secure. If you have an escape artist then they will easily get out. As for facilities, you need to take all your own condiments/ sauces as nothing is provided and the nearest shop is around 4 miles away. It wasnât stated what type of coffee machine it was on the listing and no coffee pods were provided even just for our first morning. Luckily I was forward thinking and took a cafetière with me and our own coffee. Please beware of the bbq ! It has a huge hole in the bottom of it making it unusable. We used disposable ones. The recycling was full on our arrival so we put our recycling as neat as we could by the side of the bins. The shower makes a terrible din in the double bedroom so not good if someone is still sleeping The water doesnât get very hot and the kitchen taps drip.

The cottage had everything we needed in it especially in the kitchen. The owners even had hand wash, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets there for us to use which not many places do. Will definitely be booking this again

The generous starter pack of logs and coal was welcome as we arrived to hail. A great location to visit all of our favourite beaches. Already booked to return in June. A more relaxed end to the holiday would be a 10am departure time, which most holiday cottages operate. Dawn High Peak
