Guests say

Guests have enjoyed their stays at Gorynys, appreciating its comfortable furnishings, well-equipped kitchen, and enclosed garden. The property's proximity to the beach and local amenities in a peaceful setting has been highlighted. Welcoming touches such as cake and biscuits have been well-received, contributing to the homely feel of the cottage.

Most guests found the property clean, with particular praise for the well-maintained bathrooms. However, some noted areas needing attention, such as kitchen cupboards and a musty porch, slightly lowering the score.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, proximity to the sea, and excellent walking opportunities. Its convenience for dog owners and the friendly neighbourhood are also appreciated.

The property is generally regarded as comfortable, with cosy bedrooms, a sunny private garden, and a conservatory. Some concerns about a broken bed and heating control were noted.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a fully equipped kitchen, extra appliances in the outhouse, and EV charging. Some maintenance issues like a rusty scythe, clutter, and a broken BBQ were mentioned.

The thoughtful gestures of a welcome pack with cake and biscuits have been mentioned positively, although it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

This beautiful semi-detached bungalow, Gorynys, can be found in the Gwynedd coastal village of Morfa Nefyn. Gorynys is a great dog-friendly option for friends, families and couples, as it is located near the beach and within easy reach of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Two off-road parking spots are provided, and there is a sizable, enclosed garden with a shed and patio furniture, perfect for those balmier evenings dining alfresco. There is also a convenient outdoor utility room equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Cook up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen and serve your culinary creations at the dining table while you rehash the events of the day. After dinner, you have the option of relaxing in the sitting room in front of the electric fireplace while watching a show on the Smart TV with Amazon firestick or moving through to the conservatory to enjoy a drink while watching the sun go down. Next, you'll come across a stylish shower room, perfect for washing away the day's adventures before retiring to one of the three tastefully decorated bedrooms, including two doubles, one with an en suite bathroom, and a bunk room with two bunk beds accessible from a double bedroom. Take a stroll into town and enjoy a meal at the Cliffs restaurant, a day on the golden sands of Traeth Morfa Nefyn, a round of golf at the excellent Nefyn Golf Club, a trip to the convenience store, or a takeout order of fish and chips to enjoy back at Gorynys. The following stop is Pwllheli, where you can relax on Pwllheli Beach, eat at The View, and take a stroll along the marina. A little further afield is Criccieth, which boasts a beautiful castle, beautiful beaches, and the Eisteddfa Fishery. Gorynys is the starting point for exciting new adventures.

Morfa Nefyn, a charming fishing village on the Llyn Peninsula's northern coast, is known for its beautiful two-mile stretch of sandy beach and dramatic cliffs. The town of Morfa Nefyn is home to a couple of great bars and restaurants, as well as a garage, a fantastic village shop, and a cafe. Shops, a post office, bars, and restaurants can be found in neighbouring Nefyn, and travellers can easily reach the conveniences of Pwllheli, Abersoch, and the picturesque village of Boduan. You can go fishing, sailing, or participate in any number of other watersports along this area's picturesque coastline, which is dotted with castles and secluded coves. Just 25 miles away is Snowdonia National Park, which offers breathtaking views, excellent hiking, and a wide variety of outdoor pursuits for the more active traveller. Since the National Trust owns most of the coast, there are plenty of secluded coves, sandy beaches, cliffs, and wildlife sanctuaries like Bardsey Island to discover. A 91-mile stretch of the Welsh Coastal Path, beginning in close-by Porthmadog and ending in Caernarfon on the north coast, showcases the Llyn Peninsula's famed scenery and varied walking. Portmeirion, Anglesey, Caernarfon, and Bangor are also within convenient driving distance. Morfa Nefyn is an excellent vacation home base due to its central location to a plethora of attractions.

....we would like to know the make and model of the mattress please? Many thanks.

An ideal location, within walking distance of the beach and amenities. Hugely impressed by how clean everything was. We would like to suggest some tongs and a bread bin would benefit the well equipped kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and sincerely hope to visit again next year. Thank you.

The property is modern and comfortable. The location is great - really quiet area but within walking distance or short car ride to 3 fantastic beaches including a short 15/20 min walk to the Ty Coch Inn. The garden is lovely, relaxing and very safe for our dog. We had plenty of hot water thanks to the 'boost' buttons. The kitchen is small but functional and it was nice having an extra fridge freezer in the outside utility room. The only issue we had was with the wheelie bins which were very full when we arrived. We left the bins out on the indicated day but the general refuse was not collected. I presume this means it is a fortnightly collection - if this is the case then a laminated calendar in the kitchen would be helpful to instruct guests when this bin should be left out for collection. We'd definitely stay here again.
