Lovely farmhouse in a stunning part of Wales, with the Wales Coast Path and Porth Colmon bay a mere 50m from the gates, and the expanse of Traeth Penllech a short 600m walk away. The farmhouse was bigger than it looked in the photos, with spacious, comfortable rooms and a well appointed kitchen having all you need for a rural retreat break. A combi boiler gives hot water and heating on demand. Groceries, if not doing an online order, you need to plan for, as the nearest large supermarket is in Pwllheli - don’t forget to take condiments. There are small supermarkets in Morfa Nefyn and Aberdaron, which are fine for essentials. Local eateries of note are the Coastal Cafe in the caravan site about 250m away (closed for the winter from 1st October), the beach cafe at Porthor and The Lion pub in Tudweiliog. The latter pair both welcome dogs inside, so perfect when the weather is typically Welsh. We stayed in the sister property, Hafan, last year which felt a little tired in comparison to the farmhouse, but nothing a few days TLC couldn’t sort out.The conservatory is a sun trap and was a great area to relax in after being in the hot tub or after a swim in Porth Colmon. Others have previously commented on internet speed. I’ll be honest, we didn’t book here to be sat inside streaming tv from the Internet all day. We booked here to be outside, enjoying the Llŷn Peninsula, Ynys Môn and Yr Eyri. That being said, there were no problems with the WiFi and it delivered what was needed. If you are looking for 5 star luxury where every little detail is perfect or a place bustling with people, then this probably isn’t for you. If you are looking for seclusion, billions of stars in crazily dark skies and a characterful property that gives you easy access to, arguably, the best beaches and coastal walks in Wales, look no further. To coin a phrase, location, location, location! Would we book again? Absolutely! And without hesitation.

An amazing location near the Porth and beach.Old fashioned property that hasn't been upgraded but we like the rustic charm! It is comfortable, clean and well equipt. The owners were attentive to a couple of issues we had and I've requested a new DVD player or at least remote control as it has been broken for the last 2 years so we can't pause a film and continue the following evening.
