Guests say

Rowarth is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and spacious garden. Guests have enjoyed the hot tub and the property's quiet location, ideal for both dogs and exploring North Wales. The proximity to the beach and local amenities adds to its charm, although some guests noted minor issues with maintenance and comfort.

Most guests found Rowarth to be clean and well-maintained, with several positive comments about its spotlessness. However, a few guests mentioned issues with cobwebs and dust, which slightly affected the overall perception of cleanliness.

The location is generally appreciated for its quietness, proximity to the beach, and local facilities. Some guests were slightly disappointed with the immediate surroundings, such as a nearby run-down petrol station, but the location's convenience for exploring North Wales was highlighted positively.

Guests have found the property to be spacious and the garden enjoyable. Comfort levels were high for most, but some guests reported issues with bed comfort and noise, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

Facilities like the hot tub, EV charge point, and kitchen equipment were well-received. However, some guests mentioned problems with hot tub maintenance and a lack of certain kitchen items, which indicates that while facilities are generally good, there is some inconsistency in their maintenance.

While guests have expressed satisfaction with the overall experience at Rowarth, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

About this property

This well-presented, end-of-terrace property sits in the pretty coastal town of Nefyn, in beautiful North Wales. Well-equipped throughout, Rowarth is a splendid choice for families and friends seeking a base in North Wales, with easy access to the town’s amenities and a sandy beach. Step into the kitchen, well-appointed with all the essentials for a short stay, including a double oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and even a dishwasher, so there’s no need to lift a finger when washing up! Serve your culinary delights at the dining table, toasting to a long-awaited getaway with your nearest and dearest. The lounge is where you can spend your down time, relaxing on the corner sofa as the crackle of the woodburning stove puts you at ease. The bedrooms are situated upstairs, including two doubles and twin, each wonderfully presented and featuring ample storage. Begin your morning routine in the bathroom, complete with choice of bath and shower over so you can best decide how to prepare for the day. The popular Nefyn beach is just half a mile away, and its two miles of golden sand are ideal for sunbathing, sandcastle building, swimming, and exploring rockpools. Nearby, you'll also find a wide variety of stores, bars, and restaurants, perfect for when you fancy a night away from the kitchen. The neighbouring village of Morfa Nefyn is home to a sandy shore to build sandcastles, a village store to grab your groceries and a handful of pubs/cafes to treat yourselves to dining out. Keen walkers can venture along the coastal path, running along the cliff tops between Caenarfon and Porthmadog, whilst golfers can tee off at the 27-hole championship course Nefyn & District Golf Club. Head over the sailing town of Pwllheli, home to an impressive marina, holding 400 boats and two fantastic beaches, one of which has been awarded a Blue Flag status. Choose Rowarth as your next base in North Wales.

Nefyn, a charming fishing village on the Llyn Peninsula's northern coast, is known for its beautiful two-mile stretch of sandy beach and dramatic cliffs. Pwllheli and Abersoch, two nearby tourist hotspots, both offer more extensive shopping, dining, and entertainment options, but these conveniences are easily accessible from the town itself. Many castles and secluded coves dot the coastline here, and activities like fishing, sailing, and water sports are readily available. Located only 25 miles away is the stunning Snowdonia National Park, home to countless miles of hiking trails. Nefyn is a fantastic vacation home base because of its proximity to so many exciting places.

The garden and hot tub were a dream (especially in the nice weather). Had one (slightly unusual) issue but messaged the owner and he got onto it straight away and was so quick to respond. All in all an amazing place to stay, we hope to be back and soon!

Garden, although enclosed, was not secure for our dogs. Rats/mice running around the loft at night, keeping everyone awake. Mattresses in the twin bedroom where not fit for purpose. Our adult daughter had very uncomfortable nights sleep. The jets in the hot tub were mostly not working. The noise from the play park behind the garden did spoil our holiday. It’s such a shame, because a lot positives but definitely a few things that need addressing.

It was our first holiday with both our toddler and dog and we couldn't have asked for a better property for it. The cottage was perfectly clean and spacious, and provided everything we needed, even plastic plates, bowls and cutlery for the little one. The garden was a big hit, a gorgeous space to play and relax in. We enjoyed plenty of day trips around the beautiful surrounding area, but could just have happily spent our days at the cottage. Thank you for having us, we can't wait to come back!
