This is a bright and spacious mews-style terraced holiday cottage, just a short stroll from the beautiful sandy beach in Llanbedrog, on the picturesque Llyn Peninsula. The sitting area is furnished to provide cosy seating to take in the beach views with a comfy corner sofa. There is also a selection of bean bags which are perfect for sinking into after a day on the beach and relaxing as a family whilst playing on the PlayStation 2 or Wii games consoles.
There are three comfortable ground floor bedrooms, the master benefiting from a concealed en-suite bathroom behind mirrored doors. Llanbedrog is a small village that sits close to the sea as part of the Lleyn Peninsula. The beach here is extremely popular, benefiting from its southerly aspect. It offers huge expanses of fine sand with glorious views of Cardigan Bay. The shores are often visited by dolphins and porpoises and the sea is also popular for a variety of water-sports. Inland, the panorama is a stunning vista of rolling countryside and rugged Welsh hills. The Snowdonia National Park is within easy access, offering around 82 square miles of unspoilt scenery, which houses a diverse range of flora and fauna. Llanbedrog village also has its own hidden gems, such as Wales' oldest gallery, the Oriel Plas Glyn-Y-Weddw Arts Centre and St. Pedrog's 6th Century church.

We did some long walks from the property over to Abersoch. Parking was not a problem as wasnât busy but it might be worth having marked out parking bays for busy times. A few extra items of cookware eg quiche dish, casserole dish etc and no welcome pack!! We did really enjoy the week and thank you for putting on the hottest week of the year.

The owner was very friendly and helpful when we contacted her before arriving.Having a dishwasher was handy and the kitchen was well equipped - nice to see a property advertised for 6 having large enough pans to cook for a group. It was a half-mile stroll to the dog friendly beach and there were plenty of walks and cut-throughs to explore. Be warned there are rabbits in the grounds and near by - my dog loved watching these! The less-good. The en-suite felt like it was built in a wardrobe - the dividing wall is very thin. We got used to it after a day but the sliding door isn't as practical as a normal door. We didn't get TV or satellite reception but the property has a fast internet connection so we watched everything over streaming (we took our own streaming dongle with us) We would certainly stop here again.

The balcony is a fabulous place to relax and take in the stunning views. Claire is an excellent host, contacting us to check we had everything we needed and to arrange a change of bed linen at the end of our first week. The Ship Inn is a great place for an evening meal, booking is essential as it's very popular. I've no hesitation in recommending Glyn y Marian and will definitely book again next time we're looking for a holiday in the area.
