Tan Yr Allt is a well-received cottage, praised for its secure and spacious garden, stunning views, and ideal location for exploring beaches and Snowdonia. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, the well-equipped kitchen, and the secure space for pets. The property's character and the welcoming touches from the hosts contribute to a delightful stay, despite minor feedback on certain amenities.
The cottage is generally regarded as clean and well-maintained. A few isolated comments mention minor cleanliness issues, such as a tissue left behind and unclean BBQ, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive perception of the property's cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to beaches, and accessibility to local attractions. The secure and private setting is appreciated, with the convenience of being set back from a main road, yet without intrusive noise, adding to the appeal.
Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with a spacious bathroom and comfortable bedrooms. However, there are remarks about the bed in the main room being uncomfortable and the kitchen being narrow, which suggests room for improvement in these areas.
The property is well-equipped with a secure garden, ample parking, and a wood burner. Some guests suggest improvements such as additional handrails for safety and better lighting outside. The kitchen, while well-stocked, is noted to be small, and some outdoor facilities like the BBQ were not clean.
The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of a welcome pack and treats. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such offerings may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had to leave a day early and at short notice because of car trouble, but we would definitely return

It was great for us as two singles with a dog. The garden is very safe and secure for my two year old dog with plenty to sniff! I was worried about the proximity to the main road but it honestly wasn't a problem. Its also a sun trap with great views from the upper level. The cottage is exactly as described. It was very clean and cosy. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed and cooking full meals was not a problem. I couldn't fault it. There is a beach about 10 minutes walk away and easy access to Pwllheli and Criccieth for supplies. I have a question for the owner- what is the story about the face in the wall? And a suggestion that a sun parasol would be a useful addition to the garden.

Despite the changable weather we really enjoyed our 4 night stay here.. Thank you for the welcome pack it was much appreciated. The grounds and gardens were very secure for our little Westie dog with lovely views and Afon Wen beach was very close by. There was everything you needed to ensure a pleasant holiday, inside and out..The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfy bedrooms and the bathroom was a delightful surprise..The only thing that would have improved things would have been a complete set of handrails going up & down to those lovely gardens for those of a mature age..there was a set but it needed extending further for the less able to feel steady.
