Abersoch 1.3 mile. The Orchard is a wonderful, detached house, located on the edge of the little rural village of Llanengan on the Llyn Peninsula, about a mile from the beach at Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth) and one mile Southwest of Abersoch, famous for its wonderful beaches and watersports facilities, and just a few minutes' walk from the Llyn Coastal Path. Spacious and well-proportioned this lovely property is perfect for friends or for a large family or two families sharing. The house is well-presented throughout and decorated with neutral tones and soft shades of greys, offering comfortable accommodation, while boasting some fantastic attributes that will really help to make your holiday experience a memorable one. With ledge and brace doors and oak flooring throughout, with the exception of the bathrooms and bedrooms, this wonderful house is the perfect place to entertain, enjoy social gatherings and get together or sophisticated soirée. The fabulous sitting room is light and bright with dual aspect windows, plush sofas and chairs for up to seven guests, and boasts a lovely fireplace with open fire. There is a bar in the snug area with seating for two, which leads through to a fabulous kitchen with granite work surfaces and island extending to a superb dining room with seating for 14, high vaulted ceiling and exposed purlins. A ground-floor bedroom and bathroom makes it an ideal cottage of choice for members of your party who may be a little less mobile. Upstairs, there are three further bedrooms, all individually styled. The master bedroom benefits from high ceilings, a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, and another has two pull out occasional guest beds for flexible sleeping arrangements, and a further family shower room servicing the other two bedrooms. The house nestles amongst well-established trees and enclosed gardens with a decked patio area with seating. The garden is perfect for younger members of the family to play and for the adults there is a wonderful hot tub, where you can relax, unwind and relive memories of the day's events. Abersoch is a lovely village with a colourful harbour and array of shops, eating establishments, pubs and tea rooms, a mecca for watersports, and its sandy beaches and safe bathing waters make it ideal for families. The timeless villages, secluded bays and spectacular coastal walks of the Llyn Peninsula are also on the doorstep and waiting to be discovered. Further afield, the castles at Criccieth, Harlech and Caernarfon are all worth a visit and the magical village and gardens of Portmeirion, the lovely harbour town of Porthmadog, along with the numerous delights of the Snowdonia National Park can all be easily reached. There really is something for everyone, at any time of the year and The Orchard provides the perfect base from which to enjoy all these wonderful delights the area has to offer. Note: This property shares a gravelled driveway and is next door to Ref. 1113846, together sleeping up to 16 guests.
Wales' Llyn Peninsula, where the charming harbour community of Abersoch is located, is well known for its spectacular scenery and extensive hiking trails. The village, which is nestled between two beautiful bays, is one of North Wales' most well-liked sailing locations, hosting significant regattas there all summer long. Along with several pubs, eateries, and cafes, there are many stores that cater to tourists. Additionally, there are options for golfers as there is a course just outside the village, and there are also local horseback riding facilities. Watersports fans can enjoy a variety of activities, including dinghy sailing, water skiing, and windsurfing, in addition to the world-famous surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell's Mouth). The area's most well-liked beach is undoubtedly the lengthy, sandy Abersoch Main Beach. The Llyn Peninsula is surrounded by a fantastic range of beaches, including the stunning and frequently quiet Porth Ceriad, with its high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). The National Trust owns the majority of the coastline, which is home to numerous secluded bays, sandy beaches, cliffs, and wildlife havens like Bardsey Island.

Perfect for stays with a dog as garden is big and fully enclosed. Kitchen facilities have everything you would need and comfortable beds in bedrooms. Only a few criticisms that could make this cottage perfect. The garden is beautiful and we loved using the hot tub but the outdoor furniture is very worn and in need of replacing. Unfortunately the washing line is under lots of trees so after days on the beach nothing was drying. The towels for inside were also worn and we were only provided with a bath towel and nothing for your hair. Other than that, the would definitely recommend

Handle broken on back door ( safety hazard ) Seat pads for outdoor furniture wet dirty and well worn.

Contrary to older reviews, the house was really clean and comfortable. There's a lot of space around the whole house which is really well laid out. We were also fond of the very well equipped kitchen. The hot tub is a welcome addition to the house and we liked the fact that the owners give visitors full control over temperature, something which often doesn't happen at other hot tub equipped properties. It was also fresh water when we arrived showing care and attention from owners/keepers. The only possible critique I can offer on the property and Sykes service: - When we arrived, there was a lot of dog faeces in the garden. With young children, this is an unwelcome sight. This is not necessarily the responsibility of the cleaners but more of a sad indictment of many dog owners today. However it should be checked before new customers arrive (perhaps an additional deposit for dog owners which is not returned if cleaners have to pick up round the garden?) - The shower in the main en suite seemed to be faulty, it was either scalding hot or freezing cold and requires attention. Other showers worked fine if a little underpowered. - We appreciated being able to check with the house keeper if we could access the property early on check in day, however the 0930 departure time is a little early compared to anywhere else we have stayed. Trying to get the whole family ready, out and house tidy by that time is not impossible but more difficult.
