About this property

Aberdaron 1.5 miles. Tir Glyn Caravan is a well-presented caravan located in the quaint hamlet of Uwch Mynydd in Aberdaron, Gwynedd. Perched on a working farm and offering breathtaking coastal views, this property sleeps six people in three bedrooms, perfect for families looking for a seaside holiday. After spending the afternoon watching the kids run and play around the vast front gardens and enjoying the stunning coastal views, step inside the property and wind down with a steaming shower in the shower room before heading to catch your rest in either the master double room or one of the twin rooms. Wake up at the crack of dawn to watch the sun creep up the horizon from the living room window, then sit around the dining table to await your designated chef’s breakfast feast. Venture out to the lovely village of Aberdaron and stop at The Ship Hotel pub for a heartwarming lunch or dinner, or at Gwesty Tŷ Newydd with its views overlooking Aberdaron Bay and seafood menu. On your way home, don’t forget to go to Sisial and pick up a souvenir to remember your trip by. Slip on your bathing suits and drive up to Llanbedrog, renowned for its mile-long beach where you can lounge on the sand or float in the cool water when the weather allows. Visit Plas Glyn y Weddw Gallery, a Gothic mansion turned art gallery with beautiful exhibitions, and for a more indulgent and relaxing activity book a massage or a steam session at The Warren Spa. For a fun-filled day with the kids, take them to Pwllheli and head to Pwllheli Amusements, an arcade with games for both children and adults, then Neuadd Dwyfor Arts Centre to watch a movie or catch a live theatre performance if you’re lucky, and end the day with a walk up to Gimblet Rock and have a picnic while overlooking the panoramic expanse of Cardigan Bay. Countless memories await you at Tir Glyn Caravan.

The seaside village of Aberdaron is peacefully situated around two streams, and facing the sea. Straggling up the hills are the buildings that give Aberdaron its character; the lime-washed fishermen's cottages, the cafes, shops, and hotels, and the church of St Hywyn. On each side of the river's mouth is the beach for walking and playing on, and a promenade where you can watch the sailing boats and regattas in the bay. There is also a National Trust visitor centre and car park. The popular resorts of Pwllheli and Abersoch are within easy reach. Discover fabulous castles and coves, or enjoy excellent fishing, watersports and golf opportunities, all available nearby. The dramatic scenery and abundance of superb walks at the Snowdonia National Park area are within easy driving distance, making an ideal base for a varied and enjoyable holiday, at any time of year.

She also set out her expectations of us in looking after it! The caravan is about 17 years old but in very good condition and well maintained. It doesn't have a washing machine or dishwasher but there is a laundry facility on site. The decor is quite homely and to Pat's taste. There is a wifi and a modern TV with netfix etc. We were a family group of 3 adults and 3 children so the Wifi was important especially as the site is quite remote with little else for children to do. The first night (Saturday) we went to Aberdaron to eat out but all three restaurants were full and there was a huge queue for fish and chips! We eventually drove to Nefyn and had a nice curry in an Indian Restaurant called Bombay Joes (Open until 11pm and good availability. Every Restaurant on the way was fully booked and last orders were 8:30pm! Aberdaron is a cute but very small place and with some bad weather coming in we decided to go home a day earlier than planned.
