Plas yn Rhiw, a 16th century manor house is within proximity to Trewen, well worth a visit on a summer’s day, strolling through acres of orchards and pretty flowers, whilst Porth Neigw and Iron Man are recommended vantage points for those who love the seaside. Travelling towards Abersoch, opt for a stroll across its resident harbour beach, venture further towards Criccieth Castle, nestled between two sandy shores, or for those seeking a nature-filled day out, tour Eryri (Snowdonia) and its array of walking trails. Pwllheli, a bustling market town is nearby, home to some of the most recognised sailing waters, where you can enjoy a stroll around Hafan Marina, and standby as an influx of yachts reach the harbour, or if you're feeling adventurous, climb one of three peaks situated upon Garn For, situated within Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. For a fabulous base with all that you'll need for a getaway to Gwynedd, choose Trewen.

Sarn Meyllteyrn, a small rural community with a few stores and pubs, a garage, a restaurant, and a pottery studio, is located in the centre of the stunning Llyn Peninsula, an area famed for its breath-taking beauty. The charming town of Abersoch, which is only 6 miles distant and situated between two beautiful bays, is one of North Wales’s most well-liked sailing locations and organises several sailing competitions all summer long. Water sports aficionados are spoiled for choice with fantastic windsurfing, water-skiing, sailing, diving, and surfing opportunities, while a large selection of stores, pubs, restaurants, and cafés cater to all interests. We’ve stayed at lots of Sykes properties as a large family and this one was perfect for us! The house being on a working dairy farm just added to the holiday experience for us and Rhydian the owner was super helpful and showed the children around the farm too. A wonderful holiday at a beautiful home.

We’ve stayed in a few holiday rentals as a family of three generations and this has to be the best. Clean, comfortable and very well maintained. Spacious house that accommodated all of us easily and the five bedrooms all with beautiful en-suites made our stay even better. A well equipped kitchen and two eating areas gave us plenty of space for all to eat together. The house is within a short drive to plenty of beaches and to Pwllheli and Abersoch where there is a supermarket if you run out of supplies. Driveway huge, we had four cars between us and plenty of room for parking. The weather wasn’t the best when we stayed but as the house is so comfortable we didn’t mind spending time indoors . Would definitely return and will be recommending to extended family and friends .
