About this property

A pretty detached farmhouse set in the beautiful countryside in the hamlet of Dinas. Ty Bwlcyn boasts a stunning location ideal for families and friends coming together to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. For Fisher people almost roll out of bed and start fishing. A 17th century farmhouse with period style sash windows and exposed stone walls, you won't be disappointed by lack of authenticity. Step straight into the fully equipped kitchen where you can cook up a meal or two with all the modern appliances you need. This cottage features a secret bedroom which is camouflaged within wooden panels; a hideout retreat for the kids to enjoy. Sit out and enjoy a refreshing beverage on the private patio or the large private gardens where you can light the barbecue for an alfresco evening. The beautiful Llyn Peninsula is a short trip away, those looking for a day at the beach will be spoilt for choice, while the popular village of Abersoch is famous worldwide for watersports. Pwllheli is the ideal family day out with its attractions, while both Criccieth and Harlech are dominated by stunning castles. Mountain bikers will be in their element, and for something a little different, why not check out the Centre for Alternative Technology or the Owain Glyndwr centre in Machynlleth. Alternatively, head inland and take on the challenge of Mount Snowdon, offering superb vistas at the summit, or find adventure at Zip World and Bounce Below, resting in the dramatic Penrhyn Quarry. Ty Bwlcyn is a welcoming base from which to tour this scenic part of Wales. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1121575 and 1121577, together they sleep 14 people.

Just 5 miles from Nefyn is the quiet rural village of Dinas, which is located close to the base of the Garn Fadryn Mountain. On a clear day, the summit, where the ruins of an Iron Age hill fort still stand, offers breathtaking views over the Lleyn Heritage coast toward the Isle of Anglesey and as far as the Wicklow Mountains. Two miles of golden sand beaches, a decent selection of stores, pubs, and restaurants can be found in the charming coastal village of Nefyn, which is perched atop sweeping cliffs. Nefyn is also close to the well-known resorts of Pwllheli and Abersoch. Explore magnificent castles and coves, or take advantage of the close-by fishing, golfing, and watersports activities. At Snowdonia National Park, there are a lot of fantastic trails and a dramatic landscape.

The stay was simply magical. Tranquil setting, everything you need to have a comfortable stay and wonderful views from a historic farmhouse. We hope to return. As another review has said our dogs have sulked since coming home.

The location is amazing and it has everything you could possibly need, including an onsite fishing lake. Dewi the owner was a lovely chap and always on hand to sort any issues. We will definitely be booking again.

  • Christine

We were not disappointed, the farmhouse was beautiful, full of history, yet contemporary. The grounds are vast with plenty of shade to be found, The patio and the views were wonderful, you could sit there all day and never tire of the cows, sheep and birds that come to call. Well done to Dewi and Eilwys
