Set on the edge of the National Park, Tywyn is close to the sublime Mawddach and Dovey Estuaries, with Cader Idris on the doorstep and miles of stunning coastal and hillside walks awaiting exploration. It could be a wonderful holiday house with a bit more TLC. A bed broke, one shower leaked through a ceiling light fitting, another shower flooded the whole ground floor, the oven grill did not work and the saucepans were not in a fit state to cook food. The bed and one shower problem were dealt with quickly but not what you want on a short break.
