Bryn Menai is a beautifully presented cottage in a peaceful location, offering stunning views of Snowdonia and the Menai Strait. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable furnishings. The property is ideally situated for exploring North Wales, with easy access to Snowdonia, Anglesey, and the Llyn Peninsula. Friendly hosts and thoughtful touches, such as welcome treats, enhance the experience. While the spiral staircase may be challenging for some, and the garden is not enclosed for dogs, the overall atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a popular choice for families and couples alike.
Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as very clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with particular praise for the quality of bedding and towels. Only minor mentions of paint chipping were noted, but these did not detract from the overall impression.
Guests love the peaceful, scenic setting with breathtaking views and convenient access to Snowdonia, Anglesey, and local amenities by car. The only drawback mentioned is the lack of amenities within walking distance.
The cottage is described as comfortable, warm, and homely, with quality furnishings and beds. Some guests found the king-size bed too soft or noted a sag in the double bed, and the spiral staircase may be difficult for older guests, but overall comfort is highly rated.
The property is well-equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay, including a modern kitchen and two bathrooms. Guests appreciated the attention to detail, such as a clean oven and provision of essentials. Minor maintenance issues like paint chipping were mentioned but did not significantly impact satisfaction.
Several guests mention thoughtful touches such as welcome cakes and treats on arrival, as well as friendly and helpful hosts. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Great place. Comfortable and warm, excellent view into the mountains. You do need a car but Anglesey, Eryri/Snowdonia and the Llyn peninsula all relatively close by. Would definitely come back.

The cottage was lovely. Very clean throughout. There is an immediate wow factor when you go upstairs and see the views out of the windows. The owner of the cottage was extremely friendly and the people working with the horses were also friendly and gave plenty of advice on places to visit. The cottage is in a very secluded area but still only a 10 minute drive to the Tesco in Bangor. There is also a lovely fresh milk vending machine only 2 minutes drive away. We had everything we could need in the cottage down to even small things like dishwasher tablets. There are plenty of things to do with most places we visited within a 30 minutes drive. We visited with our dog who loved the area as there is a nice country walk with plenty of horses to say hello to. Would absolutely recommend staying here and will hopefully visit again soon.
