Large solid hot tub undercover for guests! The accommodation comprises the 1st & 2nd floors of the medieval manor house. Located in South East Wales between Bristol and Newport just minutes from the M4 motorway. We are in the small village of Caldicot just across from the Castle. We welcome all groups including hen & stag weekends, family & friends gatherings, team buildings events. We are only a minutes walk from the local pub. The manor has 5 flexible bedrooms and we can sleep up to 20 guests.
The Medieval Manor is a very special holiday home for large groups. Located in the village of Caldicot in South East Wales, we are just over the road from the castle and pub with easy access to the M4 & M5 motorways. You will find yourselves surrounded by history in what is probably the oldest house in Wales.
This truly is an amazing house, and I don't think there is another property so old in the UK that can be rented for accommodation. You really are experiencing history when you stay here. It's a very special home and we are happy to be able to share it with people. We do live on site but there are no shared spaces, all of the photos shown are of the rental area. It is basically set up as a semi so you are unlikely to even see us unless we pass on the driveway.
We specialise in group accommodation and the manor is particularly suited to group celebrations. Pets are also very welcome to join you, just let us know. We now have a keycode box so there's no need to meet anyone, just arrive when it is convenient for you. Someone is however always on site during your stay in case we are needed or there is anything you forgot to bring with you.. You’ll be given all the arrival information about a week before your booking starts.
The manor has 5 bedrooms and they are as follows: three bedrooms on the second floor, which has one king size four poster with en-suite w/c, one family room with a king size and single bed, and one twin room with two single beds. The first floor has two bedrooms which are, one king size four poster with en-suite w/c, and another family room with a double and single bed. That gets you to 12 bed spaces. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge for another two, and we have three single mattresses that we move around as well, as all the bedrooms except the twin room have space for one or two of these. That gets us to 17 bed spaces. Then we have 3 fold out beds as well, so the maximum that we can provide bed spaces for is 20.
,The lounge has a 50 inch TV with over 150 videos to choose from. There is also Netflix, Disney+ and Now TV available for you to view through the Apple TV box as well as other apps.
This unique opportunity to enjoy life in a medieval manor should not be missed. The manor is a special place but is very much an ancient farmhouse and family home. We are ideal for large group gatherings. Your pets are also very welcome to join you, please just let us know in advance.
We are really happy to have guests at the manor, as we believe these places should be enjoyed and appreciated, so that they can be maintained for future generations. We do everything we can to ensure you love your stay and we welcome you to get in touch if there is anything you need.
Guests have their own private entrance with onsite parking for 10 cars. There are both straight and spiral stairs in the property. Guests have their own driveway and their own front door. We love pets at the manor and the gardens can now be fully enclosed, we just ask that the gates are shut when they are off lead.

All the photos you see here are of your exclusive guest accommodation, you also have full use of the garden shown in the photos. Our only outdoor spaces are behind high privacy fencing.
