A cosy cabin with beautiful views, though some practical limitations.I stayed at this holiday cabin with my daughter and, overall, there were certainly aspects we enjoyed. The cabin itself was cosy and set in a lovely location, with beautiful views across the Welsh countryside. It provided a peaceful base, and there are plenty of things to do both in the surrounding area and further afield, making it a good spot for exploring. The owners were very pleasant, welcoming, and helpful, particularly when we raised concerns about the Wi-Fi. Their efforts to assist were appreciated, so thank you for that. However, we did feel that the cabin offered only fairly basic amenities and did not quite have the “home from home” feel that we have experienced in other holiday cottages we have stayed in. One of the main issues was the Wi-Fi. Although the property is advertised on the Cottages.com website as having Wi-Fi, there is no physical router within the cabin itself. Instead, the connection appears to come from the owners’ property across the road. As a result, the signal was sporadic, and on the occasions it did appear, it was extremely weak and then disappeared again. This is worth being aware of, especially if you need to work while away, as my daughter runs her own business, or if you wish to use streaming services during your stay.We also found that some television channels did not work, which may simply be a tuning issue, but it was still a little inconvenient. Another point to note is that, during warmer weather, the cabin becomes extremely hot, even with the windows open. A fan would have made a considerable difference, but unfortunately, there was not one in the cabin. In summary, this is a cosy cabin in a beautiful rural setting, with kind and helpful owners. However, improvements to the Wi-Fi, television, cooling options, and overall amenities would make the stay far more comfortable and bring the property closer to the standard of a true home-from-home holiday cottage.

We had a great stay at Bryn Cosyn. David and Lynna are wonderful hosts who are super friendly and always ready to help if you need anything. The cottage itself is surprisingly large, we did not expect it to be so spatious based on the photos on this website. The views from the windows and the porch are great, at night the field ahead is absolutely dark so its a great location for star gaizing as well! We stayed with our cat, and she also loved the place and the possibility to hunt moths in the evening :)
