About this property

Tucked away on the fringes of picturesque Abergavenny, is a sight so remarkable as this Grade II listed, Georgian-style house completed with manicured gardens and landscapes humming with glorious wildlife. Nestled within 5-acre grounds, boasting beautiful country views and a superb interior, this characterful cottage is enveloped by its own private setting with hedgerows, mature borders, flower beds and a flagstone patio area for morning coffee and alfresco dining, not to mention the outdoor summertime swimming pool and charming bridge crossing a little stream - a holiday haven of pure bliss, to be enjoyed by the whole family. The house sleeps 16 guests comfortably in bright and airy bedrooms, stemming off from two different staircases and sets of corridors, providing the children with hours of fun playing hide-and-seek. There are bedrooms on the first and second floors of the property. Two double bedrooms have modern en-suites and there are three other shared bathrooms two with walk in showers. Take the time to appreciate the stunning super king-size bedroom on the first floor, with a beautiful scenery-filled window, as well as a contemporary en-suite shower room with a double basin and high class finish. The quirky fixtures and unique household accessories dotted about the house bring life to a traditional exterior, with beautiful feature fireplaces in two of the rooms, lending a nod to its late Georgian past. There are two exceptional kitchens to choose from downstairs, however if you don't fancy cooking, there is a local pub just a minute away serving traditional food. Unwind in the large sitting room, throw open the patio doors on a summers' afternoon, and enjoy the refreshing scent from the garden. Beautiful walks can be taken in the nearby area, through the Wye Valley and Vale of Usk, and further afield are the spectacular Brecon Beacons. There are plenty of historical finds within the area, with abbeys, castles and mining museums galore. This charm-filled property lies in a wonderful region for exploring, a fabulous getaway waiting to be discovered!

Abergavenny, the Gateway to Wales, nestles between the seven mountains which surround it, with the River Usk flowing through it, so there are views in every direction. The town boasts a castle with its own museum, churches, an indoor market hall, shops, pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes.
