Owner was rude when I telephoned to make arrangements for the keys. Owner was rude again when we arrived to make sure we had the correct location. Both times we were told curtly that we couldn't get in until 3pm.We we fully aware of this, but just wanted to ensure we knew how/where to collect the key and that we had the correct address. Cottage was grubby. I spent an hour and 40 minutes washing the dirty crockery and cutlery and cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and general surfaces. Have stayed in countless cottages over the last 35 years as a couple. Would definitely not stay here again. One positive, the bed was very comfortable.

A lovely holiday retreat just 2 miles from Raglan castle. The accommodation is on the flat with car parking directly outside. There’s a walking trail nearby leading up the mountain. One single and one double bedroom make it ideal for upto 3 people..Living area is spacious.Towns of Usk, Monmouth and Abergavenny are an easy drive away.Usk has an excellent Garden Centre with excellent breakfasts and food.Raglan village has a small supermarket and a decent pub with evening meals.Owners friendly and helpful.
