Guests say

Woodbank is a spacious and well-equipped property set in a beautiful location, ideal for large groups and family gatherings. Guests have praised its ample rooms, stunning views, and the thoughtful touches from the hosts. While there have been some issues with maintenance and facilities, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many recommending the property for memorable stays.

The majority of guests found the property to be immaculate and well-maintained, suggesting a high standard of cleanliness. However, a few reports of blocked drains and a strong smell of paint in one room slightly affected the overall impression.

The property is consistently described as being in a delightful location with spectacular views, privacy, and seclusion, yet conveniently close to local amenities, shops, and pubs.

Guests have found the rooms comfortable and restful, with plenty of space for relaxation and socialising. The property is well-suited for large gatherings, contributing to its high comfort rating.

While the property is praised for its well-equipped kitchen and spaciousness, some guests encountered issues with maintenance, such as blocked drains and non-functional TVs. The presence of a games room and large outdoor space were positively noted.

Several guests mentioned receiving tea cakes as a welcome gift, reflecting the hosts' thoughtfulness. However, as not all reviews mention gifts, and to ensure expectations are managed, it should be noted that such gestures are appreciated but not guaranteed.

Unfortunately blocked drains for 3 of the 5 nights we were there meant 4 people on lower ground floor had no immediate WC facilities and had to use communial WC on ground floor. The overflowing manhole, with raw sewerage spilling out, next to garage was a nightmare to keep 8 children away from when they were playing hide and seek. Given the inability of the owner to consider a small gesture of goodwill in relation to the significant inconvenience and tension related to these issues, I reget not demanding that emergency action be taken to unblock drains within 24 hours despite the bank holiday and won't pursue further bookings there although it was generally perfect for our 3 families coming together. Given the cost of the property, being expected to take rubbish up the long drive seemed excessive. A dustpan and brush is an essential which should have been provided.
