Firstly, a lovely cottage, very clean and cosy with all the facilities you could want. Set in a courtyard with another 2 other rental properties and the owner's property but still quiet and reclusive which is how we like it. You do need a car when you stop here as it is in the middle of nowhere but it's still close enough to all the local sights and places you would wish to visit. A lovely place and we'd definitely stop again. Secondly, the owner's. What lovely, lovely people they are. We had a poorly dog while we stopped and they could not have done more in the help and concern they offered to us. They were not intrusive but you knew they were there if you needed anything. We even got an email from them when we got home asking how our dog was which we very much appreciated. Thank you Cheryl and Paul for your kindness.

The Duck House was comfortable with everything we needed for a weeks stay. Phoned a few days before, speaking to Paul, to arrange key collection. Cheryl greeted us when we arrived even though it was windy, cold and raining which was nice. In the kitchen we found a tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, welsh cakes and a bag of dog biscuits. In the fridge a bottle of milk. All very welcome and very appreciated. In the bathroom , in case you forgot anything, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand lotion, soap, razor and other bits and bobs. All thoughtful touches. We would definitely stay again.

Dogs had a great time too. Could do with some blinds in the living room as thereâs another property opposite.
