Uncover the delights of Oak Cottage nestled within the quaint hamlet of Walwyns Castle, in the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside near the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Footpath, and close to St Brides Bay, complete with a plethora of picture-postcard beaches including St Brides, Little Haven and Broad Haven. In an evening after a busy day sightseeing, relax in your private hot tub with a glass of bubbly, relax those muscles and take in the stars. On-site there is plenty to keep you busy with a large shared games room boasting a full size pool table, table football, table tennis and soft play area for the young ones. For those more active, enjoy a game of tennis or keep fit at the gym. There is also an outdoor climbing frame and slide to keep the children entertained.
Oak Cottage is set all on one level within the mature grounds of the owner’s home and is the end of a row of three beautiful holiday cottages. The contemporary, galley-style kitchen offers the perfect space for testing your culinary skills, or you may prefer to dine al fresco in the south facing courtyard, perfect for evening sunsets. Both bedrooms have been lovingly furnished to a very good standard.
The coastal hamlet of Little Haven is 10 minutes away where you can enjoy fresh line caught fish or an array of shellfish, and the local inn/restaurant serving local ales. Travelling further south west, visit the boating village of Dale and enjoy some fantastic walks, boating, kayaking and fishing, or for some birdlife, take a trip to Skomer Island with boats departing from St Martins Haven. Tenby, Folly Farm Zoo, Heatherton World of Adventures and Oakwood, Wales’ largest theme park, are all within 40 minutes’ drive and perfect for all the family.

We had a fantastic weeks stay at Oak Cottage.The cottage was perfectly presented, clean and spacious for four people and a dog. We loved having a private back patio area with the hot tub which we enjoyed every night.We also made use of the tennis court and the games room daily.The cottage is situated about a 10 minute drive from the nearest town. Either Haverford West or Milford Haven where there are plenty of supermarkets, shops and places to eat.We ventured out every day and enjoyed travelling around visiting all the local beaches, towns and attractions. Our host Jessica was on hand for any issues (we had none) and great to ask for local info and recommendations.We loved our stay and will definitely book again!

A fantastic family stay in PembrokeshireWe had a fantastic stay at Oak Cottage and would happily recommend it to families looking for a comfortable base to explore Pembrokeshire. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped, with everything we needed for our stay.Jessica, the host, was particularly approachable, friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The thoughtful welcome hamper was a lovely touch and really showed the care that had gone into making the cottage feel homely.The additional facilities provided for families were brilliant. The high chair and cot were extremely useful, and the fact that the cot unusually came with a proper mattress was a particularly thoughtful touch. Having a free washing machine available was also a complete game changer when travelling with children.The facilities on site were amazing, even if, with everything there was to do in Pembrokeshire, we didn’t make nearly as much use of them as we probably should have! The location is peaceful and a great base for exploring the surrounding area, while the cottage itself was a comfortable place to come back to after busy days out.There are a couple of things that could be improved. Unfortunately, the waterfall shower was broken during our stay, and not all of the hot tub jets were operational. The hot tub was still enjoyable, but having all of the jets working would make it even better. A little more lighting in the dining room would also be useful, particularly in the evenings.Those are relatively minor points in what was otherwise an excellent stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely return. In fact, we’re already looking at coming back over the Christmas period, which probably says more about the cottage than anything else we could write.A lovely cottage, a brilliant host and excellent facilities. We would happily recommend Oak Cottage for a family break in Pembrokeshire.

Amazing place to stay and would definitely stay again. The property is a little remote which means you would need a car to get around. If you like the quiet countryside this is the place to stay. I had a wonderful few days in Oak Cottage. Thank you
