Rural Pembrokeshire Cottage - above Solva River Valley Dogs welcome

Near to St Davids on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and tucked away in the tiny hamlet of Skyfog, the Smithy Cottage is a modern dog-friendly cottage on the site of an ancient farm dwelling (1798).

Newly decorated and comfortably furnished with many intriguing photographs and original paintings by the talented owner, the cottage is set within a small enclosure containing the old Smithy - the tools are left as the blacksmith finished on his last working day in the 1940's. The neighbouring clog maker's workshop was recently removed intact to be preserved in the National Folk Museum of Wales at St Fagans!

South facing and catching the morning sunshine, the grounds are full of wildlife and run down to the passing stream and across a small bridge to the meadows beyond.

A footpath leads you on to the nearby 50 acre Skyfog Common (NT), designated an sssi and free for you to roam. The orchard is planted with apple, plum, pear and quince trees and guests are invited to enjoy the fruit as it ripens.

3 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 6. 1 Kingsize and 1 Twin on the ground floor. 1 Twin upstairs with en suite shower room, toilet and washbasin on 1st floor (reached by paddle staircase - take care please - only suitable for agile adults and children over 5).

Lobby with steps to enclosed decking and garden.

Grounds enclosed garden, decking and patio with outdoor table and seating. Additional 1-acre paddock with stream and a planted orchard.
