Temple Barn is a beautifully decorated and well-equipped cottage in a stunning rural location with sea views, making it an ideal base for exploring Pembrokeshire. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, spaciousness, and secure garden, especially for dogs. The kitchen and bathroom are highly rated, and the welcome touches are appreciated. Some mention low ceilings upstairs and occasional maintenance issues, but these do not detract from the overall positive experience. The property is particularly suited to families and dog owners seeking a peaceful, comfortable retreat.
The majority of guests found the property spotlessly clean and well-presented, with only a few minor comments about windows or outdoor areas needing attention. Overall, cleanliness is a strong point.
The location is praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to the coast and local attractions. Some guests noted the need to drive for amenities or walks, but most found the setting ideal for a relaxing break.
Guests found the cottage cosy and the beds, especially downstairs, very comfortable. Some noted the sofas and upstairs beds could be improved, and the low ceilings upstairs are better suited to children. Underfloor heating and a log burner add to the comfort.
The cottage is extremely well-equipped, with a modern kitchen, spacious bathroom, and thoughtful extras like a washing machine and secure garden. Occasional maintenance issues (e.g., dishwasher, garden gate) were quickly addressed by helpful staff.
Guests frequently mention welcome packs with local treats and dog goodies, as well as helpful and responsive hosts. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

A clever small barn conversion with lovely sea views to the rear and plenty of on site parking. Underfloor heating and a log burner are a bonus if you’re staying in the winter months Upstairs bedrooms are built into the eaves, so not much headroom for adults but ideal for kids. Beds not that comfy up there either, although perfect in the downstairs double. Huge bathroom with bath and large walk in overhead shower - plenty of fluffy towels too. The shower enclosure did flood quite quickly though and took ages to fully drain. Kitchen is well equipped including full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge area is a conservatory which really needs blinds fitted to block the sun on hot days or if you want to watch TV. (The World Cup was on during our stay or we wouldn’t have bothered). Outside the garden is fully enclosed - ideal for the dogs - with plenty of chairs and a level lawn. The rear gatepost however is rotten and needs replacing - an enthusiastic dog could probably get it open if desperate enough! A washing line would have been useful for drying towels after a beach visit.Located just back from a fast main road with a Gulf garage and Spa on the same stretch. There is a pub apparently but we couldn’t find it. Only a short drive to Solva, St David’s and the Blue Lagoon. Recommend the Sloop Inn, in nearby Porthgain for delicious food and friendly atmosphere. A quick thanks also for the complementary Bara Brith, Welsh Cakes and Dog Treats - much appreciated - and we would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This isa nice small property in a development of similar conversions. About 10 years old it is very well done and nicely furnished. It is cosy and the upper level and 2 bedrooms are very height restricted - you need to bend right over and mind your head everywhere. It also contains the only long hanging storage, so even a couple probably need to use it. The cottage has a really nice kitchen and bathroom (bath and walk-in shower) and underfloor heating to keep the chill off.It was the hot week when we were there and the outside was used a lot. Unfortunately we didn't find the cushions until the last evening and left them where they were at the back of the broom cupboard. There is too much garden furniture for the space and the cheap rattan plastic doesn't do the rest justice. A small patio on the lawn area would be nice the existing left for dining.Temple Barn is showing its age and needs some TLC. The windows were filthy in the bright sun and there is a dirt in most nooks and crannies - even the outdoor table is mud caked and mouldy. The patio and paving need a good jet blast and the gutters and woodwork need a wash down. The conservatory window catches are fiddly and the stays do not hold the windows open. The roof lights were lined with dirt that fell off onto the beds when opened. The parking area is in need of weeding/spraying and the garden gates/posts are rotten.I noted that there seems to be a plan for another unit and the three existing would benefit from some shared updating and maintenance if standards are not to slip further.Apologies if this sounds picky but we are not really and it's just that with a little bit of investment and TLC it would be really good.I have stayed here before in one of the others and the deterioration is very obvious. BUT - I think it is a good stay and the cottages are well-equipped.
