Guests say

The Anchorage is a spacious and peaceful cottage in Haverfordwest, praised for its ideal location near a crabbing beach and extensive grounds perfect for family activities. Guests appreciate the well-stocked kitchen, outdoor space, and local wildlife. Some noted the property's indoor darkness and lack of internet, but overall, the cottage is recommended for large groups seeking a tranquil getaway.

Most guests found The Anchorage to be fantastic, though there were mentions of cobwebs, dust, and a few mouldy tea bags. The owner's responsiveness and the overall cleanliness seem satisfactory, but there is room for improvement in thoroughness.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to a tidal creek, beaches, and outdoor activities like crabbing and kayaking. The natural setting contributes to a peaceful and enjoyable stay, despite some comments about narrow approach roads.

Guests found the cottage comfortable, with peaceful gardens and spacious living areas. However, some noted the need for better lighting and grab rails in bathrooms. The property's size and tranquillity were highlights for a comfortable stay.

The Anchorage is well-equipped for large groups, with a well-stocked kitchen and ample outdoor space. However, guests mentioned the lack of Wi-Fi, poor phone signal, and the need for better car charging facilities and larger TVs, indicating some areas for maintenance and upgrades.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The multiple bedrooms and living areas allowed everyone to have their own space while also enjoying communal activities. The location of the property was perfect. It easy access to nearby attractions. We enjoyed several hikes and visits to local landmarks. The property was clear upon our arrival. The large garden was fantastic. We enjoyed the outdoor space, which was well-maintained and beautifully landscaped. There are enough parking space for 5 cars. In general, our overall experience at Wales was wonderful. The property was beautiful, well-maintained, and perfect for a large group like ours. We created many memorable moments and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend this property to other large families or groups looking for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday home.

He certainly was an amazing person who loved family. Our only complaint was that the house is rather dark - which we understand to be due to the terms of the planning permission, so couldn't be helped. But fact is that it was really hard to read in bed as the bedside lamps inadequate and some of us didn't take torches. One read in the bathroom before turning in!! As painters, it was't possible to paint indoors so we were grateful the weather was good! Otherwise characterful and comfortable.

Small beach within a 100 yards of the property and a good base for the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and other local attractions. It was fantastic!
