The cottage, dating back to the 18th century, was a former ship captain’s cottage which has been sympathetically restored to uncover all its original features, including stone walls, beams and lots of welcoming touches, including a wood-burning stove for those cosy nights in. Guests can enjoy their own private garden (separate from the cottage and not enclosed), where they can sit, relax and unwind after spending a busy day exploring the area. From the doorstep, guests can enjoy fantastic walks along the iconic coastal path and discover the pretty coastal villages of Solva and Porthgain, which are tucked away in tranquil fishing harbours. Visit the historic city of St. David’s, which features the magnificent 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishop’s Palace. For the more adventurous, take a sea safari expedition around the offshore island of Ramsey, cruising close to sea birds, seals and the occasional bottlenose dolphin. The golden beaches of Newgale and Whitsands are within easy reach and are renowned for surfing and watersports. Horse riding and golf can also be found locally. Cove 500 yards. Pluses Located in a pleasant village , within easy walking distance of beautiful coastline line. Decent sized bedrooms, comfortable king size bed. Well equiped decent kitchen, decent bath.Negative. There was a strong smell of damp in the lounge and bedrooms. A slug also made two appearances in the bathroom. Lack of cleanliness and lack of freezer

Nice roomy cottage, very comfortable beds and sofa/chairs. Kitchen had everything needed - though some of the cupboards have a weird musty smell. Garden was big - very friendly neighbour. We used the pub 3 times, and for pub grub it was fine. This is a fabulous location and we walked from the door a few times - using the bus service which goes from directly opposite. The views from the cliff path are amazing and we saw loads of seals and their pups. Easy to drive (or bus) to St David's/Fishguard/Strumble Head.
