About this property

Idyllically positioned a stone's throw away from the glistening waters of the Cleddau Estuary, in the pint-sized town of Neyland, rests this wonderful end-terrace holiday home, Slipway cottage / 21 Picton road . Comfortably sleeping up to four guests and enjoying the delights of the Pembrokeshire coast from its doorstep, Slipway cottage / 21 Picton road makes an excellent choice for two couples or a family looking to explore this sought-after area. Keep a look out for the resident swans feeding near the house as you dust off your sandy toes and step into this beautiful abode, where a hallway greets you upon arrival, providing a handy storage space to house your beach-going essentials.

Moving through the abode, refuel following a day of adventure with a hearty meal prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, with a dining table uniquely positioned on the first floor. On summer days, spend time outside in your private, well-kept, multi-level terrace, enclosed by an 8ft panelled fence, with an option to cook on the barbecue in the sunshine. The lounge terraced is decked with cushioned seats to relax with a good book, while the top, sunset terrace provides the best views to enjoy a cold glass of wine at the end of the day. Back inside, flick on a family-favourite and unwind with a sumptuous seat in front of the television or play your favourite tunes on the Bluetooth soundbar.

Soothe your muscles with a steamy rinse in the shower room before climbing into your pyjamas ready for bed. When sleep calls, you're spoilt for choice between two well-presented double rooms, with one positioned on the ground floor, ideal for those with limited mobility. Take advantage of your close proximity to the coast and watch the sun as it sets across the enchanting waters of the Cleddau Estuary from the Neyland Yacht Club or the scenic marina, before ending the evening with an indulgent bite to eat served alongside a picturesque waterside view at The Alumchine Restaurant, less than 20 meters from your holiday home.

Pack your bucket and spade and head to the glorious sands of Gelliswick Beach, where you can simply lounge with a good book in hand or make a splash paddling the shores. For more adventure, head to Neyland Marina for boat tours and diving excursions around to discover more of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park! If you'd prefer to stay on land, soak in the sights with an ice cream in hand from the harbourside, take a step back in time with a tour of Milford Haven Museum, or if you time it right, catch a live performance at Torch Theatre.

Wildlife lovers have a variety of nature reserves to explore close by, including Westfield Pill, Priory Saltings, and Freshwater East. Journey further west along the coast to St Annes Head with scenic coastal paths for spectacular sea views and the iconic St. Ann's Head Lighthouse, as well as the nearby Marloes Sands to stop off for a picnic surrounded by marvellous cliffs. Cross the iconic Cleddau Bridge and enjoy a night on the town in Pembroke Dock, home to a bustling high-street lined with bars and pubs, or venture further inland and explore the remarkable architecture of Pembroke Castle, famed as the birthplace of Henry VII.

Whilst here, visit Freshwater West which attracts many surfers with its unspoilt, rustic setting and fabulous waves, or carry on to the harbour town of Tenby with plenty on offer for the whole family. With so much to see and do along the Pembrokeshire coast, be sure to choose Slipway cottage / 21 Picton road as a base that you'll be delighted to return to at the end of an action-packed day.

Neyland is a small village on the Cleddau Estuary in Pembrokeshire. The village is ideal for an outdoor adventure, with countless treks and the Brunel Cycle Trail passing nearby. Local amenities and people in the area are a real plus. The only downside is the outside space. There are a steep set of steps to get to the decked area outside so walking up to enjoy the space and BBQ area did prove difficult so people with mobility issues would struggle.

Lots of black dog hairs. Steps up to lounge were steeper than expected as we're the ones up to terrace area. Great location Comfortable beds Confused about what bags to use for bins. Thought we had got it right but bin man would not take them. Lovely very dog restaurant just across the road

Very welcoming and clean with great views from the upside down living room. Even on a wet day plenty to watch. Well equipped and warm. The people around the cottage are very friendly too which is an added bonus. Altogether a great time was had by all.
