The Granary in South Wales & Pembrokeshire offers a well-equipped, comfortable stay with a beautiful location and ample outdoor space, including a play area for children. Guests appreciate the friendly hosts and the property's proximity to beaches and local attractions. While some guests mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the majority reflect a positive experience, enjoying the cottage's charm and the surrounding countryside.
Cleanliness receives mixed reviews, with several guests finding the property well-kept, while others report issues with dirt, dust, and a sense of dampness. The presence of both positive and negative feedback suggests variability in the standard of cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its beauty and proximity to beaches and local attractions. The rural setting provides a tranquil retreat, though some guests note the need for driving on narrow lanes. Overall, the location is considered a strong asset.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with guests finding the cottage cozy and well-equipped. The presence of a log burner and the spacious garden add to the comfort level, although there are some mentions of issues with hot water and dated bedding.
Facilities are appreciated, especially the play area and outdoor spaces. However, there are comments about maintenance issues such as leaks, clogged drains, and the need for updates. The gym and playhouse discrepancies also affect the score.

Built over 150 years ago, this beautiful stone barn conversion was originally the farm's granary. Now it is a comfortable 'up-side-down' holiday home with all modern comforts. Many of the original features still remain such as the massive exterior stone steps, the vaulted beamed ceilings and mellow stone walls, which give the property character. Quiet country lanes lead to the barn, which is just a few minutes' drive from the Pembrokeshire coast path and excellent beaches at Newport, Poppit and Ceibwr. The coastal town of Newport and market town of Cardigan are each a few minutes drive and offer a host of galleries, studios, shops, eateries and pubs. Guests are welcome to enjoy the freedom of the farmland and woodland walks surrounding The Granary. There is also a gym and you can even bring your horse on holiday - the country lanes and beaches near to this property are perfect for horse riding. If you would like to bring your horse/s on holiday, stabling is offered at an extra charge, please ask for more details. All guests have free access to the sunflower and pumpkin farm when they are in season.
Newport is a beautiful coastal town in Pembrokeshire, south west Wales lying on the River Nevern with a selection of shops, pubs, tea rooms, plus an excellent golf course overlooking the sea as well as a lovely sheltered harbour. Newport lies on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which is renowned worldwide for its unique landscape and wonderful opportunities to go dolphin and seal spotting. Wonderful coastal walks along the path or in the nearby Preseli Hills with the ever changing scenery are a walkers dream all year round. Learn about history when you visit the mills, craft centres and castles dotted around the county or spend a day at the wonderful Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort where you can learn hands on all about living during that time. See the majestic Shire Horses at the Shire Horse Farm or spend relaxing days on the huge choice of beautiful sandy beaches. All year round this is a perfect location for all the family.
