Ty-Newydd Cottage in Newport is a well-loved, cosy retreat with a peaceful location and a homely atmosphere. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and the generous garden, suitable for children and pets. The cottage's charm and cleanliness are frequently praised, alongside the thoughtful welcome basket. Some guests mention minor issues with maintenance and a damp smell, but overall, the cottage offers a delightful stay with easy access to local attractions.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and dust-free, with several reviews highlighting its sparkling condition. A few mentions of cobwebs and a musty smell suggest room for improvement, but overall, the cleanliness is highly regarded.
The location is praised for its quiet, rural setting and proximity to Newport beach and local amenities. The scenic views and accessibility to walking paths and the coastal area contribute to its high rating, despite some guests noting the need for a car due to the distance from town.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, with a relaxing log fire and spacious rooms. However, some reviews mention issues with water pressure in the shower and uncomfortable seating, which slightly detract from the overall comfort.

Nice welcome pack, very much appreciated. Comfy/nice and relaxing.Great nights sleep. Very close to the beach.Great for letting your dog run around.Well stocked kitchen.Lovely Enclosed garden for a medium sized dog like ours. However there are small gaps that a smaller dog could escape. Weather was great but in turn attracted loads of flies along with being in close vicinity of a farm.Thank God for the fly swatter( kept under the sink). Thank you for a lovely holiday. We have been to moyle grove since 2012 this is our 3rd cottage. This cottage was everything it said, and we was really pleased. It was safe for our two cocker spaniels ( who are working dogs) so we was pleased. There are a couple of holes, but nothing to worry about. This is a cottage we will come back to. Thank you for the welcome pack it was lovely. This is a cottage we will definitely come back to.

We also visited last year and also had a wonderful time so it was great knowing what to expect and the cottage didn't disappoint. The improvements to the now gated garden, bathroom and kitchen were perfect. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated after a long drive. The kitchen is so well equipped and we cooked most of our meals there as we also took our two dogs. We particularly enjoyed the garden, the spectacular view of Carn Inglis and proximity to the beach. We will definitely be visiting again in the future. Thank you so much.
