Avalon is a well-situated cottage in South Wales, praised for its cleanliness, stylish furnishings, and beautiful location close to the beach. Guests appreciate the spacious and light open-plan living area, well-equipped kitchen, and the thoughtful touches like the owner's manual with local recommendations. While some guests mention minor maintenance issues and a lack of certain amenities, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The majority of guests found Avalon to be spotlessly clean, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. However, one review mentioned the need for a more thorough clean, slightly impacting the overall impression.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach and scenic walks, with easy access to local attractions. The peaceful setting and the option to walk to the beach are frequently appreciated.
Guests find the property comfortable, with a spacious lounge and well-furnished rooms. However, some guests noted issues with the heating system and the bed in the master bedroom, which affected the comfort score.
Avalon offers a range of facilities, including smart TVs and a well-equipped kitchen. Some guests experienced issues with heating and missing kitchen items, and there were mixed comments about the TVs' functionality. Maintenance concerns, such as the need for oven gloves and a door for the ensuite, were also noted.
While guests appreciated the owner's manual and the provision of games and books, there were no consistent mentions of gifts or welcome packs to accurately assess the thoughtfulness category. Therefore, this score is set to null.

Freshwater East is a fantastic place & the nearby Freshwater West is also stunning, Avalon was comfortable & perfectly clean, washing machine & tumble dryer were useful & being left a few cleaning products was helpful. The bedrooms were very comfortable with plenty of storage & kitchen had all appliances we needed. Would definitely recommend having a holiday at Avalon.

Enclosed garden perfect for the dogs, and in the right position to get the sun. The only unusual thing was that the en suite does not have a door, which renders the loo a bit pointless for us reserved Brits. It's in a great location. A few minutes walk from the beautiful beach at Freshwater East (or a minute in the car if you don't fancy the hill), and 15-25 mins from an array if stunning unspoiled beaches. I'd also recommend Bosherton Lily Ponds which is 15-20 mins away.
