Avalon is a well-situated, stylish cottage in South Wales, praised for its cleanliness, high-quality furnishings, and beautiful location. Guests appreciate the spacious, open-plan living areas, proximity to the beach, and the secure garden for pets. The property is ideal for a relaxing holiday with family or friends, offering a comfortable stay with a range of amenities and thoughtful touches.
The majority of guests report that Avalon is spotlessly clean, with high-quality furnishings. However, a few guests mentioned that the outside area and certain aspects of the property could benefit from more attention.
Guests are delighted with the location, noting its proximity to the beach and scenic walks. The property offers easy access to local attractions and is in a peaceful setting, making it an ideal holiday spot.
The property is generally found to be very comfortable, with a spacious layout and well-furnished rooms. Some guests noted issues with the heating system and the bed in the master bedroom, but these were exceptions rather than the rule.
Avalon is equipped with a range of facilities, including smart TVs and a well-appointed kitchen. Some guests mentioned missing items and maintenance issues, such as the lack of heated towel rails and storage in secondary bedrooms, which suggests room for improvement.
While guests appreciate the owner's manual and the provision of games and books, there are mixed comments regarding welcome packs and gifts. As such, it is politely noted that while some guests enjoyed complimentary items, these are not guaranteed for all stays.

We found the house too hot, mainly in the mornings, although it was unseasonably warm weather for November. We would have preferred to light the fire instead but there were no containers for wood or coal and we didnât want to spoil the pristine white floor. As previous visitors have stated, we didnât like the doorless en suite although it was beautifully appointed. Just as well there was a second bathroom. The large bed was extremely comfortable and there was plenty of storage. Outside needed some attention, rubbish was scattered around the garden (the local recycling system seems to be the problem as the containers are not fully enclosed) but itâs a shame this wasnât cleared up by the gardener or housekeeper. There was an huge pile of leaves outside the front door. But all in all the house was well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and may well return.

Freshwater East is a fantastic place & the nearby Freshwater West is also stunning, Avalon was comfortable & perfectly clean, washing machine & tumble dryer were useful & being left a few cleaning products was helpful. The bedrooms were very comfortable with plenty of storage & kitchen had all appliances we needed. Would definitely recommend having a holiday at Avalon.
