About this property

This spacious bungalow sits within the quaint village of Lamphey, overlooking the ruins of Bishops Palace, a historical, Grade I listed site. Presented to a wonderful standard with off-road parking for three cars, Timaru provides a charming place to call home for a family of four. When you’re not sampling a local pub or restaurant, the kitchen is amply equipped to satisfy your culinary needs, whilst there is also a handy utility where you can pop your clothes on a spin. Carry the conversation into the lounge, collapsing on the sofas and tuning into the Smart TV for some catchup. Head out through the patio doors to access the garden, where you can sit back and relax with your favourite tipple as you appreciate the tranquil scene. Enjoy some ‘me-time’ in the bathroom with a lazy soak or choose the walk-in shower to freshen up. The bedrooms include two doubles and a twin, each with bedside tables and fresh linen. When you’re ready to explore, take a walk through the serene countryside along country lanes, or maybe take a bike ride or drive to the nearby sandy beaches, the closest being Freshwater East just a five minute drive away. The quaint village of Lamphey offers a small shop, a restaurant and two pubs where you can reward yourself with a few pints and grub after a long walk. Seven miles away lies the harbour town of Tenby, housing the historic Tenby Castle, the idyllic Castle Beach, as well as the National Trust landmark of Tudor Merchant’s House. For family days out, head to Heatherton World of Activities where you can challenge each other to a game of paintballing and archery or swing through the trees along their treetop trail. Choose Timaru for a special retreat to South Wales.

About two miles from the historic town of Pembroke is the lovely village of Lamphey, which has two restaurants serving great food, a traditional bar, and a small shop. Pembroke, a nearby town with an impressive 13th-century castle that is known for being the birthplace of King Henry VII, is beautifully situated on the Cleddau estuary and serves as the ideal starting point for exploring the breathtaking surroundings, which include rocky cliffs, sandy beaches, and stunning estuaries. The charming bay of Manorbier, with its golden beach and historic castle, is only 3 miles away, whilst the popular town of Tenby, with its taxing coastal golf course, Blue Flag-awarded beaches, and a variety of seaside attractions, is well worth the quick 10-mile trip. a lovely starting point for visiting beautiful Pembrokeshire and beyond.

    Will book again.

Good sized and well equipped. Some minor cleanliness issues.

  • Nigel

Electric storage heating either have little heat or too much but eventually got the hang of it. Only comments to make are- 1. Absolutely no information in the property either about the property or the local area i.e. local bus and train services and emergency telephone numbers. 2. Nice welcome pack but other than that no real supplies. Just one toilet roll and one black rubbish sack so you need to bring absolutely everything you may need. Other properties we have rented had a few bits and pieces like kitchen rolls, cling film and silve foil that’s just helps with your stay.
