Sandyhill House in Saundersfoot is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the quiet location, though some note the steep hill when walking from the town. The property is considered an excellent base for exploring Pembrokeshire, with many guests planning to return.
The property consistently receives high commendations for its cleanliness, with numerous guests describing it as spotless and well-maintained. There was a single mention of bins and a shower base that could have been cleaner, but this appears to be an isolated comment.
The location is generally well-regarded, especially for its quietness and proximity to local attractions. However, some guests mention the steep hill when walking to and from the town and the need to be fit or use a car, which slightly affects the score.
Guests find the property comfortable, with several positive comments about the beds and sofas. However, there are a few remarks about the twin beds being uncomfortable and the double bed being noisy, which suggests room for improvement in this area.
The house is praised for being well-equipped, with a special mention of the kitchen's utensils. Some guests suggested improvements such as clearer instructions for the shower and additional kitchen items, but overall, the facilities are highly regarded.
While some guests mention thoughtful touches like a welcome cake and a Christmas hamper, there are not enough reviews referencing consistent gestures of thoughtfulness to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary.

Only thing I can fault is that there were no condiments and as we cooked most days I had to go and buy some salt, the only place we've ever stayed in that had no salt in the kitchen! Also the bed was not the most comfortable but was ok for just a week.

Double bed needs a new mattress. When the wind blows there is a very annoying whistling noise in the main bedroom, coming I think from the loft. No salt and pepper pots in the kitchen.

The twin beds especially are cheap thin with springs poking through! Not sure how you are expected to sleep on them-very poor indeed especially for the rates charged! Double bed not so bad but not the best of mattresses. A shame as the house was very clean and well equipped. Instructions on how to work the shower would be useful as we couldnât work out how to use it. I would not go again.
