The village also features a general store with Post Office and café. There are two welcoming pubs serving food.

The bathroom on this level includes a bath, hand-held shower, and WC. From the kitchen, steep, traditional stone stairs wind up around the back of the fireplace to the first floor, where you'll find two spacious double bedrooms, each with an additional single bed. The second bedroom is accessed via another steep stone spiral staircase from the living room.

- The far side of the river bank and the main section of the river closest to the cottage garden belongs to the neighbour so is out of bounds to guests - further details are within the guest directory at the cottage
- Not suitable for those with limited mobility as the stone stairs up to the bedroom floors are steep, winding and have very narrow treads
- Access from the car parking area is quite steep with some wide tread steps and during adverse weather can be slippery underfoot

- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times in the garden due to there being no boundary fence to stop dogs going on to the neighbours land accessed via the stream - the cottage side of the garden is enclosed by a perimeter fence
- annual BEE swarm - each year from around end of May to end of July a swarm of bees will move into the chimney of this property. These bees are protected and are usually mild mannered going about their business if left undisturbed. It is wise to close the bedroom window and bedroom door during the day to avoid the odd stray bee entering the property. As they are high up in the chimney they generally do not cause any issues when enjoying the outdoor spaces and have not been problematic in past years but alerting guests who may have a potential for bee sting allergies.
