Kooky Cottage in Brecon is a charming and cosy property with a wood burning stove, praised for its character and quiet location. It is within walking distance to local amenities and offers a well-equipped kitchen. The unique steep stairs add to its quirkiness, though they may not suit everyone. Guests have enjoyed peaceful stays and recommend the cottage for its proximity to lovely walks and the town.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, with fresh linens and towels. However, there was an isolated incident of the property not being clean upon arrival, which has slightly impacted the score.
The cottage is well-located in a quiet street, close to the centre of Brecon with easy access to shops, pubs, restaurants, and walking trails. Parking is generally manageable, contributing to a high score for location.
Guests describe the cottage as cosy and comfortable, with a lovely log burner adding to the ambience. The steep stairs and some issues with the bed and boiler have been noted, affecting the comfort score.
The cottage is equipped with necessary kitchen tools and a cosy log fire. However, comments about the steep stairs, dampness in the kitchen, and a weak shower suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
While guests have mentioned a welcoming box of chocolates following a cleaning issue, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category.

Kooky Cottage. It was quiet and comfortable. But we could have done with thicker pillows on bed. Also, as we had such lovely weather, we would like to have taken advantage of bistro table and chairs in garden as advertised. We do, however, hope to return at a later date.
Nigel
In a quiet area. Could do with a more powerful shower. No car parking available outside the property, even the car park you suggested behind the cottage. Parked in the side street.
Michael
The kitchen being on a lower level to the main room makes this especially problematic. We unfortunately couldnât stay as a result. This needs clearly highlighting in the description..
