Pleasing to stay in a "new build" as many rental properties are often much older. A great base for both the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons and Talgarth is nice and quiet. Two big double bedrooms (neither en-suite), but a small (with en-suite) downstairs bedroom. Good to have a bath as well as a shower option. Kitchen area is a little small if you are home cooking. Off road parking on the drive just outside the door. Dog friendly with plenty of local walks around Talgarth for the woof.

Cottage was excellent in every way with the owners next door who were lovely and helpful. Premises was spotless and really well equipped. Town was small and quiet but only one pub that didn’t do food. Couple of cafes that were mainly closed in the evening so had takeout food a couple of minutes away. Chip shop was good but the Indian restaurant was average. Good location for walking or cycling in Brecon. Would highly recommend
