Lodge is comfortable and a good size with 1 double bedroom plus ensuite shower and 1 twin room with family bathroom. The sauna is a great addition. Kitchen area has a good size freestanding fridge/freezer, washing machine and slimline dishwasher. There is plenty of cutlery, plates, glasses etc. However, an extra baking tray along with oven gloves would be appreciated. There was a lovely welcome bottle of wine on our arrival. Ann, the owner is very friendly and helpful. She was happy for us to use a small, portable BBQ outside the lodge on the gravelled area, which was extremely useful. It would have been helpful to know prior to booking that there was a restriction on the use of the hot tub, limited to between 8.00 - 20.00. There was also a time limit of 30 minutes followed by leaving the hot tub for 30 minutes before returning. The temperature could not be increased above 37⁰C and was often between 34⁰ - 36⁰C.Another suggestion would be the provision of comfortable outdoor seating to allow time to sit and enjoy the views. There is a wooden table and 4 folding chairs which are rather hard to sit on for any significant length of time.

The lodge was clean and had everything to really make it a home from home. I came here with my 17 year old daughter and 21 year old son and the space was welcome. An en suite which for my uni son was ideal, and the sauna was amazing. There is not a thing I would have changed. Ann the host has really taken care to ensure that guests have everything they need. I often made the comment I could live there! Thank you.
