It is in a fantastic location and a number of shops are only a 15 minute drive away. The garden is beautiful, the beds are all very comfortable and the open plan living space is great. The annex with the pool table became a favourite place for all of the younger members of our family. There are however, a few things that could be improved upon. The kitchen, utility room and living area were not very clean when we arrived and we had to clean it ourselves. This was hard without a dustpan and brush although there were sufficient cleaning products. There were only 9 dinner plates, 5 tea plates and 6 bowls which made mealtimes interesting with 10 people. There is no dining table inside, there is a great breakfast bar but only a handful of bar chairs, a couple that didn't go up and down so some of us had to eat on our knees on the sofas. The outside table is great but not when it's raining! There are no instructions for the tvs or oven and the symbols have faded so we weren't sure how to operate either. There is no blind for the skylight in one of the bedrooms, our daughter struggled to get her baby to sleep on the first night due to the light, we fashioned a blind using bin liners so managed fine but a proper blind would be helpful. The hot tub was brilliant but it leaks so you have to top it up every time you use it. Not a big issue but getting it fixed would be ideal. None of these things took away from our enjoyment of the week, the house is a great space for a party of 10, the living area with several comfy sofas was a lovely hub and we all had a wonderful time.

The kitchenware i.e. cutlery, glasses etc was quite limited considering it sleeps up to 10 people. Also on opening drawers in downstairs bedroom we discovered some mens underwear which appeared to have been worn. All in all could have been a lot better.

Then after a week he started to ignore messages and calls and 2 months later still don’t have the items back…
