Oakleigh Cottage in Llanymynech is praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like homemade cake, though some find the space better suited for couples than larger groups. It serves as a comfortable base for exploring Wales, with a few noting the lack of certain facilities.
Guests consistently mention that the cottage is very clean and well-kept, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition.
The location is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to local attractions and nature walks, though it is described as quite remote by some.
The cottage is generally found to be comfortable and cosy, but several guests feel that it is more suitable for two people rather than four due to its size.
While the property is well-equipped for a comfortable stay, some guests noted the absence of a washing machine, dishwasher, and detailed local information. The lack of these amenities and information has led to a slightly lower score.
Many guests mention and appreciate the thoughtful gestures such as homemade cake and welcome packs. However, it is politely noted that such gifts, while delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The only problem was the television which was unwatchable. I left a message for the owners at the start of the week but nothing was done, nor did they come and apologise or explain what the problem was. For this reason we will not be returning to Oakleigh in the future.
