Set in the Brecon Beacons this house is ideal for family gatherings and perfect for the more personal romantic wedding venue. With its origins in the 15th century, the house still retains its ancient castellated archway redesigned in the 19th century in the regency style. The property is centrally located in the heart of the market town of Crickhowell and Hay on Wye is nearby which is a must see along with Abergavenny with its many shops, pubs and restaurants. Why not stop in Brecon en route to Pen y Fan. The cities of Hereford and Cardiff are both less than an hour away. There is plenty to do in the area including hiking in the hills, fishing on the River Usk and there are some lovely walks off to the right along the River, also great for a summer picnic. Cross over to the village of Llangattock and you'll find the Brecon & Monmouth Canal, with recently restored tow path, is great with a bike or for a relaxing amble. The accommodation offers seven bedrooms: all with TV s, 1 four poster bed, 3 doubles and 3 family room with en suites Bathroom: with bath, shower and WC. Lounge: with open fire (logs included), TV/DVD and iPod dock. Snug Bar: which can be fully stocked, arranged direct with the owner, or bring you own drinks. Dining room: seating for 32. Kitchen: with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine. Utility room: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Gardens: 3 acres of flat enclosed garden, outdoor furniture and BBQ. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi Fi included. Television/DVD, freeview, iPod dock. Separate cosy snug room. Large bar area, with sink and chiller cabinets which can be fully stocked by arrangement. Both the cottage and the apartment have seperate kitchen and sitting rooms, perfect for guests looking for a little quiet. Dining: A large formal dining room, seating 32 with views across the Brecon Beacons National Park. A smaller farm house dining table in the kitchen for simple breakfasts and a large function room available seating up to 90 (by seperate arrangement) cooking: Well equipped farmhouse kitchen, designed for entertaining with a 6 ring gas industrial cooker, fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine. All the typical kitchen basics such as oil, salts, peppers, dishwasher tablets etc can be found in the cupboards. Laundry: Large laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer. Grounds: Children will love the 3 acres of well tended (flat!) lawns. They can race around in sight whilst grown ups can sit and enjoy the views of the Brecon Beacons National Park sitting in the comfortable outdoor chairs or whilst firing up the enormous barbeque. There is also a pretty rose garden and croquet set. Security bond: This property has a 1,000 security damage bond managed by Sugar and Loaf. This venue does not accept stag parties but will consider hen parties by prior arrangement.
